In an interview with Politico, House Majority Leader Eric Cantor says he agrees with the policy merits of Rep. Jeff Denham’s ENLIST Act amnesty. This legislation would give an amnesty to illegal aliens if they join the military and Denham has been using every possible tactic in an attempt to attach his amnesty to the Defense authorization bill (NDAA). Cantor, commenting on the amnesty legislation, said:
If you’ve got a kid that was brought here by their parents — unbeknownst to the child — and that they’ve grown up in this country and not known any other, and they want to serve in our military, they ought to be allowed to do that and then have the ability to become a citizen after that kind of service.
Please contact Rep. Cantor and tell him that amnesty for illegal aliens who join the military is just plain wrong during a time of troop cuts and is opposed by the American Legion.

One has to assume one still has a governing political philosophy to draw the conclusion ( false in this case ) that Eric Cantor has an opinion on any issue, one other than the one he is told to have by party leaders or the bevy of political donors who continue to fund his sham stay in DC.
Cantor is doing exactly what the Chamber of Commerce wants him to do, shuffle through Congress legislation that will continue to provide the cheap labor pool that the Construction, Hospitality, Landscaping and other labor intensive low wage industries want.
On the other side of course the Dem’s want to have another potential pool of voters who are easy prey for their race baiting divisive message that only government can help you out of the vicious cycle you are stuck in.
Cantor might want to read the newspapers and see how well these tactics worked for establishment types in Texas .
The media sounding the “death knell” for the TEA Party movement may end up eating a little more crow than they like. Let’s at least hope so.
