This may be substantial: The UK Daily Express came out for UKIP and Nigel Farage in his election in Thanet South! Here’s some highlights but go read it!
The paradox is that this election is the most complex ever with the precise result impossible to call and yet the central issue is simple: which parties offer a cast-iron guarantee of an EU referendum in 2017?
Only two parties will give you a referendum: Ukip and the Conservatives. There is no doubting the success of the economic rescue act performed by the Tories to get us out of the mess left by Labour but the Daily Express believes you should vote for change. For a new kind of politics where those we elect actually listen to the people’s voice and act on it.
I agree BUT I must ask: What if they gave referendum and the Tweedledee/Tweedledum parties decided to ignore it anyway? Or try again until the British people “get it right”. Or count Scotland votes to place the EU over the top?
Vote Ukip and for the first time you will be able to make a real difference. In the South this will be particularly important.
In the North, where Labour’s heartland is the old working-class fortresses, you can deliver the message that state control and union power are not the way ahead, however much that is the heritage passed on from your forefathers.
In Clacton, Rochester and Strood, Thurrock, Boston and Skegness, Castle Point, Great Grimsby, Heywood and Middleton, Dudley North and Rotherham every vote for Ukip counts towards a result that will shake the foundations of Westminster.
Not so long ago Labour and the Conservatives poured scorn on Ukip and its supporters because they saw the party as a political minnow. How that has changed now – and thank goodness for it! The minnow has become a shark and it’s going to sink its teeth into the complacent and arrogant flesh of Westminster.
I love it! Here’s more:
One policy shines out like a beacon of hope: that this country must break free from the EU. We are a great nation that needs to stand tall, not be part of an arthritic, failing conglomeration that, Germany apart, consists of also-rans and never-will-bes.
The more MPs Ukip has the greater the pressure on the government to do what is best for Britain. In Thanet South it is essential that Daily Express readers put their X against the name Farage for he is the catalyst for change: a political troublemaker in the mould of the young Churchill and his voice must be heard.
I hope this is the start of something great. At this writing, there is about three hours until the polls open in the UK.
