Update – 1-18-2012 – The RNC Document condemning Agenda 21 is posted at this link.

I reported yesterday about the RNC resolution against Agenda 21 that actually mentions ICLEI as the agency implementing Agenda 21.

I got GOOD NEWS!  The anti-Agenda 21 resolution was unanimously, yes without dissent, PASSED!  RAH!  (If my family weren’t here I’d be jumping and cheering around the house like a madman!)  Here’s the report:

Great news. Some have seen my FB note about the Indiana committeeman verifying that the RNC passed a resolution exposing UN Agenda 21, unanimously. This is true. (See attached).  Now Oklahoma also verifies it. See below correspondence from Robert Semands, Govern Edmond Locally spokeperson, and please repost. Let’s hold our GOP elected officials at all levels accountable to adhere to this RNC resolution. Are they Republican or not? Time to hold them accountable.

This blogger also reports that last October, an even better resolution was passed by the National Federation of Republican Assemblies (a staunchly conservative group) that cites the unconstitutionality of joining ICLEI:

RESOLVED, that Article one, Section ten of the Constitution prohibits any State or subordinate governmental body from contracting with nondomestic entities such as ICLEI; and be it

RESOLVED, that the NFRA shall not endorse a candidate or elected official including the office of President that refuses to oppose the same.

I’d written it differently but the NFRA is correct!  Maybe now a GOP Attorney General will look into the constitutionality of ICLEI membership by the communities in its state.  Thanks to NOlathe and WE the people USA for the story!

    Great news!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. DeclareTruth says:

Is a copy of hte resolution itself available anywhere? I'd sure like to see it and pass it around. Thanks!!

  3. Ms. Frankie Baxter says:

I checked the member list and Austin, Texas among others is a member of this ICLEI ! ! ! ! ! UnbelievableEnter text right here!

  4. Jane Doe says:

I sure hope the southern states boot Agenda 21 back to the U.N. where it originated! If not, I may be relocating to another state that's non-compliant with Agenda 21/ ICLEI! This is too wonderful to be true! I'm not getting my hopes up though… because bad laws/ legislation/ ideas have this unbelievably arrogant way of resurrecting themselves. Think National I.D., Amnesty, and many more!

  5. Gem says:

it's great news, but the battle isn't won. Your communities can be implementing Agenda 21 without ICLEI. Anytime you have 'sustainability' or 'sustainable development' beware…..that is what Agenda 21 was all about. Look to your local comprehensive plan and zoning codes. There is where the danger lies.

    • Real Gem says:

… yes, because UNsustainable is the way to go!

      What a pile of stupid!

      • Tom White says:

A favorite argument of the left. If you are not for sustainable growth you must be for unsustainable growth. Same with clean water and dirty water. The issue is not one of sustainability, it it the degree of sustainability. Or the degree of clean air, water, etc. The type of sustainability the Progressives favor is actually far beyond what is actually needed for sustainability. And it ventures into the unnecessarily intrusive range. There is a balance between man and nature that can be achieved while still maintaining the sustainability aspect and allowing reasonable use of the land or resources in question. This is something the left is unable to understand. We are all in favor of clean air, water and sustainability. Otherwise we would be suicidal. Get a grip, lefties. The sky is not going to fall because someone puts up a gazebo to enjoy the sunset over the river. Jeesh!

  6. timothy adams says:

And the so-called Republican members of the U.S. Govt immediately went back to implementing said plan, along with their counterparts who are exactly the same in the Democratic Party.

  7. EileenWright says:

There seems to be confusion between RNC and NFRA -can anyone clarify which organization is making the resolution?

  8. not so fast says:

The first George Bush brought us Agnda 21 in 1992, …. so I would want to thoroughly check this out. Perhaps a distraction. It is known that they are basically scrubbing any reference to the UN in any and all Agenda 21 (Sustainable Dev., Smarth Grwoth, etc.) literature and earlier post. This is possibly good news….but verification is needed. Meanwhile the NGO's (non governmental organizations) are still at work in you local town, cities, and counties.

  9. Bruce says:

Where is the formal Party Document showing the Republican National Committee actually passed this?

Didn't find it at the website.

  10. James Rhodes says:

    Here is a copy

  11. Sam Freeman says:

It is good news, but it is not enough by itself. Why are we a member of the U.N. at all? It is an evil institution seeking to create a worldwide socialist slave-state. Why should they get one dime of our money? This doesn't address the recently created International Climate Court that seeks to hold us accountable for the mythical "carbon debt" they say we owe trillions of dollars for. This doesn't stop the insane plan for Cap & Trade. This doesn't address the assault on our Second Amendment rights they are working on in the guise of their Small Arms Treaty. And calls to withhold funding from the U.N. are meaningless. We saw how that worked when it happened before. The U.N. just kept our tab until the politicians eventually paid up.
