VA Tax Freedom Day is April 24 (ranks 40th amongst states)

Virginia Tax Freedom Day is April 24, the day that Virginians have collectively earned enough income to pay off their total federal, state and local tax bill.

National Tax Freedom Day falls on April 21 – three days later than last year. Virginia ranks 40th to reach Tax Freedom Day, which puts Virginia near the bottom – getting closer to New York (May 4), New Jersey and Connecticut (May 9).
