Various and Sundry Comments and Endorsements by Sandy (not the Blog) for Tuesday: Stanley, Tesla, McQuigg, Parrish etc.

Here is the official Sandy (not the blog) musings and comments on various and sundry races for Tuesday:

Senator Bill Stanley:  I like Senator Stanley (disclaimer – he uses our legal printing service) and I was dismayed that he became part of a vicious attack by both a grieving father (I do not blame the grieving father but rather the politicians and activists who used him in his grief for a cause.  That is awful!) and the Governor of Virginia.  Stanley does have an opponent and I heard from a source he might not have the united support of the GOP voters in his district.  Time to support Bill Stanley.

Yes, Tesla, too:  In Wise County, when you vote for Chuck Slemp, make sure you support the Tesla of Court Clerks: J. Jack Kennedy.  ‘Nough said!

While you are supporting court clerks:  I’ll give a shout out to Clerk in Prince William County – former supervisor and delegate Michele McQuigg.  McQuigg is one of the most principled public servants I know.

While we are in PWC:  Try to turn out for Ruth Anderson for Occoquan Supervisor.  She is a great lady who succeeded me as chairman of missions at one of my old churches:  Lake Ridge Baptist.  Without saying something I shouldn’t, let’s just say she’s a fearless leader of missions.  The other board members can’t intimidate her.  Take my word for it.  She is also the wife of Del. Rich Anderson.  Help him, too.

PWC continued:  And don’t forget Hal Parrish for state senate!  Tell Bloomberg NO!

I will watch this race where the Libertarian is running – the 20th Delegate District – Will Hammer.  Very impressed with Hammer.  Maybe statewide nomination in 2017.  Not an endorsement but Hammer might do well.  Here are the other LP hopefuls.

The Speaker of the House of Delegates:  Del. William J. Howell, has a contest, too.  Probably this mention will not be the turning point, but support him anyway.

Please, please in King William County support in the 2nd district Linda Benson and in the 4th David Hansen.  I went to the KW Tea Party forum and I liked Benson and Hansen.   (I also finally met a hero:  Supervisor Stephen K. Greenwood – a Democrat who wants to cut taxes and spending!  He is unopposed and I’ll let that go this time.  🙂  )  I think Benson and Hansen bring a humility and respect for the voters the incumbents in those districts do not share.  I do not know enough to say what to do in the 1st district.  And memo to KW:  There is a rumor your county was cited in a slightly unfavorable way when I called into the Jack Gravely show Friday about better ballot access – no opposition for any of the five school board seats in this general election.  Rumor true.  I hope in four years that does not occur again!  🙂

Can print out these petitions for Governor Gilmore and take them to your polling place (as long as you stay out in the public area and do not harass or intimidate a voter) and get signatures.  You must see the voter sign the petition and follow all other rules.

Let me finally just say this:  If you live in RVA – pick up the Style Weekly this Wednesday and go to the Back Page.  Let me know if you like what you read…
