Virginia First Foundation Mailer Praises Haley – Blasts Janis on COPN Reform

This new mailer hit the streets today praising Va – 12 Senatorial Candidate Vince Haley for his free market approach to repeal / reform Virginia’s Certificate of Public Need system. If you are not sure what this important issue is all about, check this post I wrote earlier today to educate voters. In a nutshell, if a medical enterprise wants to build a medical facility, the state determines if it would be too much competition for the existing – usually large – hospitals or facilities.

The ones with the most lobbyists usually wins.

Vince Haley is FOR repeal / reform f this anti free market program while Bill Janis actually voted against reforming the program according to the mailer.

Look for these in your mailbox! (Virginia First Foundation does not endorse candidates.)

I am glad to see this issue brought to the fore. I agree with Tom White that the COPN needs to be abolished.

    Sandy-

Why don’t you take the Big Leap and retract your hasty uninformed endorsement of Janis and change it to Haley? You can’t vote for Janis anyway- you live in Mechanicsville.

    Hmmm?
