My fellow Blogger Sandy Sanders wrote a great article that really says it all about Gerry Baugh. Please read it here.
There are a lot of activists in Virginia and Central Virginia has quite a concentration of them. My friends at Americans for Prosperity, the various local TEA Party organizations, Richmond, East Hanover and others.
While we didn’t make the impact on the Presidential election we had hoped to make, local and state concerns and are another matter.
If you travel around in Hanover County, the familiar Gadsden Gold signs placed by the Mechanicsville TEA Party are a familiar sight in numerous areas.
And they have had an amazing impact on the County and the State.
And there are a lot of deserving people for accolades and acknowledgements, but none are more deserving than Gerry Baugh.
I think that the one characteristic that sets Gerry above the rest is his willingness and ability to work with people and groups that have common goals but also support some individuals or goals that Gerry finds counter to his path. It takes a big man to find commonality of philosophy and join forces based on that, overlooking areas of disagreement.
That is a rare and desirable trait in a person, and Gerry Baugh has that ability in spades.
It is an honor and privilege to be associated with Gerry and I look forward to working together in the years to come with the 2012 Virginia Right! Person of the Year.
