I thank you, Brent Smith, for your wonderful idea: Mercy Me and/or Casting Crowns for the Big Game halftime show!
Here is his comment:
Sandy, I have been reading your’s (sic) and Tom’s posts with great ferver. (sic) Thank you both for taking unpopular stands in this secular society. I too was completely offended by the half time debacle. I wonder what they would do if Mercy Me and/or Casting Crowns performed for the half time events. Godly principles are few and far between these days and it is time for the Men of Christ to stand tall and voice their opinions against the left-leaning all-inclusive agenda and not just at half time shows, but on and off of the field.
Now I have drafted a White House petition to ask the Obama administration to ask the NFL to have a Christian group such as Mercy Me or Casting Crowns do the Big Game halftime show but have not pulled the trigger yet. We need 100,000 signatures to get a response from the administration. I really could care less what the President says. I help the NFL will hear the message!
Will the Christians in the USA sign the petition? I need to know what people think. I don’t want embarrassment to come to Jesus. If people comment here and say – I’ll get others to sign and sign myself until we get 100,000 signatures, then I’ll do it!
Will “…the Men of Christ (and Women, too!)…stand tall and voice their opinions…”? We’ll see…
