“The American Republic will endure until the day Congress discovers that it can bribe the public with the public’s money.”
“A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world’s greatest civilizations has been 200 years.”
― Alexis de Tocqueville
The Progressives have invaded our schools, corrupted the minds of the young and exploited them for their vote.
Barack Obama is less a man than a concept. His image has been cultivated and refined by his handlers and an overtly corrupt media that hides the truth from the American people.
When a Mitt Romney video exposed his comment about the 47% that are on the government take he was roundly criticized by the media. Not only were Romney’s words true, if anything, he had underestimated the size of voters on the take.
There is only one way to defeat the Pop Icon Barack Obama and his “government can solve all problems” mentality.
Give him what he says he wants.
The truth is, Obama and his handlers are not stupid. They are well aware of the fact that taxing the rich will never close the spending gap and balance the budget. And yet they demand higher taxes on the very people on whom we depend to create jobs.
So how can that possible work?
Well, it can’t. And the Democrats know that.
What will work, however, is the Republicans plan to stop the total destruction of the country. Democrats know that Republicans will fight the massive tax increases and the all too willing press is perfectly happy to go along with blaming Republican’s reluctance to go along with Obama’s destructive plans when the economy continues to falter.
The Democrats plan to use the Republicans love of the country and unwillingness to see it destroyed against them. They already have.
Mitch McConnell will do what he always does. As will John Boehner and Eric Cantor. They will feign resistance and in the end, cave in. And when it doesn’t work out the way Obama says it will, the fact that Republican leadership ultimately gave into Obama will be overlooked by the media in their zeal to blame the Republicans initial resistance as the cause of the failure.
And so the dance starts anew.
We all know that Obama will get everything he wants before it’s all over. So why should we waste time pretending?
A financial collapse is inevitable now that Obama has been reelected. It was probably going to happen even if Mitt Romney won the election. We have passed the tipping point between a productive America and a dependent state. Romney had a small chance to turn things around, but the majority of Americans are convinced from Kindergarten to Grad School that America is unfair and the rich take from the poor. The Barack Obama message resonated with them because they were programmed to believe it.
The plan is for Obama to take credit for anything positive that happens and the Resistance – McConnell, Boehner and Cantor – will get the blame for their obstructionism for anything that goes badly.
Sadly, we have no one in the Republican Party in a position of power that is capable of getting that message out. The Republican leaders will – again – play into the hands of the media and the Obamaites and “the failed ways of the past” will be blamed for the collapse.
Somebody has to work in this country. The wealthy are not going to be the pawns of Obama for long. They will simply continue to hoard their wealth and wait.
The trajectory has been set for some time now. Obama’s second term will prove that Progressives, Socialists and Marxists are failures.
We just need to make sure they receive the blame.
