The shame and horror! Republican Senate candidate Christine O’Donnell told Bill Maher in a 1999 appearance on Maher’s “Politically Incorrect” show that she “Dabbled in witchcraft, but never joined a coven” in High School.
What’s next? Did she ever backtalk her parents? Fail to do her homework in 3rd grade?
And just how is a High School kid’s curiosity about the occult relevant? It’s not like she called herself a bearded Marxist, like her Democratic opponent Chris Coons. And she decided that Christianity was the way to go for her.
I, too, dabbled in the Occult in High School. As I recall, the episode less about satanic obsession and more about this really cute girl who happened to be a witch. I learned a lot, too. That chick was crazy. My Christianity was never in jeopardy.
But it is really amusing to watch the left try to find some reason to dislike O’Donnell. Unfortunately, a past history of witchcraft is more likely to cause a number of left wing liberals to vote for her, because she’s way cool!
So she’s a crazy right wing Christian with Satanic tendencies who took too long to repay her college loans, and may have owed back taxes after running against Joe Biden, which prompted the “punishment” audit.
In honor of the loony left, I believe a CCR video “I Put a Spell On You” is in order today.
Enjoy this with eye of Newt and a bitter brew!
