You hear the left whine every day. “People have the right to know who is giving money to political PAC’s”.
But when does this supposed “right to know” trump the donor’s right to privacy?
That’s actually a pretty simple question to answer.
If the impetus behind the disclosure of the names and addresses of donors would only serve to help voters decide which candidate gets their vote on election day, then I would be all for everyone knowing who gives what, even though it is technically their own business, as long as the money does not break any laws.
Unfortunately, Democrats have proven that they cannot be trusted. They will harass, picket, boycott and threaten and even vandalize and do bodily harm to these donors and their businesses.
Perhaps the most ironic part of this is the fact that Democrats pretend to abhor the influence money can buy and are quite prepared to use violence, intimidation and bullying as the currency of their own desire to influence politicians and the public.
The bottom line is, if the Democrats get this information, they have proven that they will abuse the information to gain their own influence.
Society and the law is absolutely right to shield this information from the left wing thugs who want only to bully the money away from politics on the other side.
Their intentions are anything but honorable.
