Eric Cantor Stood By Silently as Bob McDonnell and 43 Republicans ACTUALLY RAISED Taxes!

I am getting tired of Eric Cantor’s lies and distortions in my mailbox every day.

Yesterday’s pile of Cantor calumny included the oft repeated lie that Dave Brat did nothing as Tim Kaine tried to raise taxes almost $1 Billion.

The reason Brat said nothing was that he served on a committee that was not charged with giving Kaine recommendations on tax hikes. That is not what that committee did.

But let’s look at the situation a couple of years ago when Bob McDonnell actually raised taxes almost 5 times more than the failed Kaine attempt. McDonnell managed to persuade 43 Republicans in the House and Senate to go along with the big government spending hikes.

AND WHERE WAS ERIC CANTOR “THE CONSERVATIVE” THEN?

Cantor was nowhere to be found. He let Virginia and the 7th District down.

Had Eric Cantor come out and showed his home state what a true Conservative was, he could have stopped the tax hike with one speech.

ONE SPEECH!

Or a simple statement to the press would have been enough to stop the massive tax hike now oppressing Virginia.

Imagine Eric Cantor saying to MSNBC or even FoxNews “You know, I am a bit disappointed in the tax increase proposed in Virginia by my fellow Republicans. We are supposed to be Conservatives, at least that is what we run as every election. I think is goes against the Republican Creed and our Conservative principles to raise taxes in this, or any economy.”

And that would have stopped the McDonnell ta hike dead in it’s tracks.

But Eric Cantor sat on his rear end and let it happen.

And I have another question for Cantor. How does he know Dave Brat didn’t advise Tim Kaine against a tax hike, even though it was not his job to do so. And why does Cantor think Kaine would have reconsidered a tax hike based on the advice of a Conservative College Professor? Kaine is a tax and spend liberal, after all.

Brat was in no position to stop a tax hike. Eric Cantor was, and did nothing.

That makes Eric Cantor a hypocrite.

Hypocrite? Yes, but it doesn’t necessarily make him a liberal b/c he probably didn’t even know it was happening. He was “VERY BUSY CREATING JOBS” and working on AMNESTY.

Nothing is more conservative than a republican wanting to get their majority back. And nothing is more liberal than a republican WITH a majority.
