First, you have to find the cause of the problem.
A frequent scenario in the NFL is watching two players go after each other after the play is dead. Now, common sense dictates that the issue most likely began prior to attention being drawn to the fight. The referee may or may not have seen the event that instigated the hostilities.
These type of “disagreements” often end with offsetting penalties – both teams are penalized equally and the play is repeated – hopefully without conflict.
So, when we analyze the “heated rhetoric” surrounding the political arena in the United States, we can clearly see that such rhetoric is in response to the last Congress’ behavior. The Democrats pushed through, by hook and crook, a radical and unpopular agenda. And those on the right are outraged by these events.
Unfortunately, there are no easy provisions for a “do over” like we have in football. Oh, the voters are decidedly the referees, and they threw the flag. And the intent was clearly to declare offsetting penalties and replay the down.
In other words, dismantle the laws that caused the conflict in the first place. Repeal HealthCare and the other horrendous legislation thrust upon an unwilling public.
But the Democrats are refusing to replay the down, clinging to the disastrous results that started the discourse and heated rhetoric in the first place.
They are ignoring the referees.
Of course, the ultimate penalty is ejection from the game. And many were ejected last November. But unlike the NFL, these penalties sometimes are accessed in several election cycles.
Just ask the Republicans. They ran afoul of the referees in 2006 and 2008 and are just now being allowed back onto the field.
Enough with the football analogy.
Democrats must accept the blame for their role as instigator of the recent unpleasant tone in politics. And Republicans have a responsibility to the voters to correctly redo the events of the last Congress. There need be no bloodshed, but there must be no backing down on the will of the people.
The will of the people is the only thing that matters.
Democrats must realize that the only way to return to some modicum of civility in Washington is to listen to the people.
Until then, Democrat’s continued instigation will continue to produce the same result. Disharmony.
Using the despicable acts of a madman to continue to thwart the will of the people is simply unacceptable. And it resolves nothing. It is simply a pathetic continuation on the part of Democrats to allow their agenda to intertwine into the bureaucracy – never to be untangled.
Those on the right know that what was done by the left cannot be allowed to stand. Those on the left realize the same truth. No one on the left is foolish enough lay claim that ObamaCare is a good bit of legislation. They all say “it has problems” and then throw the line about returning to the days of exemptions for pre-existing conditions as a consequence of repealing what is destined to become the largest and most expensive entitlement mistake ever made by this country.
Unfortunately, blood has always been spilled in the political history of America. And the root cause is always out of the mainstream policies. Fortunately, our
political leaders elected representatives no longer settle their differences with a duel. Rather, with words – sometimes heated and impassioned.
But this is a good thing.
One of the best reasons of why America needs to continue to repeal the radical agenda and legislation from the last Congress is, ironically, found in the speech President Obama delivered memorializing the victims of a madman when he said of 9 year old Christina Taylor Green:
I want us to live up to her [Christina's] expectations. I want our democracy to be as good as she imagined it. All of us – we should do everything we can to make sure this country lives up to our children’s expectations.
Our children expect a future where the people control the government – not the other way around. A future where freedom and liberty are prized and fully protected, and where God and family are the most important things in our lives. And a country where tyranny and oppression have no place.
Obama’s words were antithetical to the results of his policies.
But we should all be in agreement.
Let’s repeal this big government power grab of the Obama Administration for our children.
