As a Virginian, I love Williamsburg. I live about an hour away and own a business in historic Yorktown, Va about 15 minutes away from the site where President Obama is preparing for tomorrow night’s debate.

Colonial Williamsburg is one of the finest examples of how life was in America under the rule of a European Power – Great Britain, America’s masters at the time.

I can’t think of a more appropriate place for Obama to prepare for the debate, surrounded by the reminders of a tyrannical and oppressive England that taxed us unmercifully, ignored our wishes and issues mandates that all Colonists must follow under the strictest of penalties.

Juxtapose our days under Imperial British rule in Williamsburg with the place Mitt Romney has chosen to prepare for his debate – Boston.

The TEA Party, Paul Revere, “The British Are Coming”.

Freedom and Liberty vs. Tyranny and Oppression.

Interesting. Ironic. And appropriate.
