The United States Government versus We The People

Speaker of the House, John Boehner, understands why so many “conservatives” and “constitutionalists” and “libertarians” are furious with him, even if many of our Congressmen are confused. Mitch McConnell, too, understands what the TEA Party represents and he knows exactly how he intends to address the movement. Boehner and McConnell intend to crush us.

They have to crush us. If they don’t crush us, then we will elect people to office who will go there to shut the system down. Not “the government” – don’t hear the mysterious and threatening whisper of anarchy in what is a practical goal – but the system upon which our current government functions. This is no longer a Republic, but a Corporatist Oligarchy funding a Democratic-Socialist state. Democrat and Republican political parties and establishments both reject the need for a Constitutional Republic.

That is why the people are so angry and that is why these political establishments have to spend so much capital keeping the angry people from gaining any power whatever in Washington D.C.

Our government was chartered to perform specific Constitutional obligations and everything, everything outside of those enumerated powers were clearly left to the States and to the people as free, sovereign individuals. Today, our government does whatever it wants to do, though it treads cautiously around the edges of those liberties guaranteed specifically to We The People. As it turns out, the only thing standing between a tyrannical federal government and what it is we have today, are the first ten amendments to the United States Constitution.

Our government has succeeded in destroying federalism by defrauding the states of their representatives and turning the Senate over to national special interests and the popular vote. This was accomplished through the 17th Amendment. The 17th Amendment must be repealed.

Our government succeeded in funding the entire breadth of its unconstitutional power through the direct taxation of its’ citizens income. This was accomplished through the 16th Amendment. The 16th Amendment must be repealed.

The first act of Congress empowering it to regulate beyond its’ congressional authorities was the Interstate Commerce Act of 1887. Through the creation of the Interstate Commerce Commission, the federal government took the first step toward unlimited arbitrary power. I call it an arbitrary power because there is nothing in the United States Constitution which states that the federal government had a right to regulate interstate commerce, nor defined the limits of such an authority; and because there are no constitutional limits on the self-granted authority to regulate commerce there has been no limit to how far our government has been allowed to stretch these powers in interfering with the lives of its once sovereign citizens. We must repeal the Interstate Commerce Act of 1887.

The authority to regulate commerce between “The States” was not intended to be a right to regulate commerce, but only commerce between The States. In other words, the federal government has the authority to prevent one state from defrauding or harming another state through their own regulation of commerce.

Almost none of the federal governments regulatory power is within its Constitutional jurisdiction and therefore, this government knows no limit to its power in regulating our society, up unto the point at which that authority directly contradicts rights given to the citizens by the Bill of Rights. It is safe to say that the American People have NO LIBERTY save that which the first ten amendments to our Constitution provide, and even those rights come under perpetual assault.

John Boehner and Mitch McConnell, John McCain and Bob Dole, Lindsey Graham and Paul Ryan understand this, even if many of us do not. They know just how far down the rabbit hole this American Government has gone and just what an upheaval of the status quo would be required to turn the tide and return sovereignty back to the American People. Furthermore, the “great thinkers” of our age would no doubt argue that the American People could not stomach having to live with the kind of freedom and sovereignty guaranteed to them by the Constitution; that this more democratic system, open to arbitrary law and regulation, exists precisely because the American People demanded it!

How true.

I am a constitutional libertarian and believe in returning explicitly to the state of liberty and sovereignty originally bestowed upon us by the great patriots that founded this country of ours; and I suppose that makes me a radical. But friends, it is this gray area we’ve created which prevents us from retaining what liberties we have left. Democracy naturally erodes individual liberty and the mob, collectively, bestows unlimited authority onto centralized government precisely because such a monopoly of force is required to command and control a country, and this is what so many of our countrymen desire to do. To command and control. We’ve designed this arbitrary democracy with the intention of destroying objective law and handing power over to the mob, in all its ignorance and fear.

The results are what you see before you today and it will continue to get worse. We require a radical change in philosophy, in culture, and in government if we are to reverse course and to save ourselves from the inevitable doom which has befallen every nation that has ever sacrificed its individual sovereignty to the authority of The State.
