Poll: Are You Voting FOR Brat or AGAINST Cantor?

I thought it might be interesting to see where the pulse of the voters who are planning to vote in the June 10th Primary (or wish they could) sits.

There is a lot of anger at Eric Cantor for failing us. And there is a lot of hope in Dave Brat. And Brat is a once in a lifetime candidate and an opportunity to put a qualifed economist in a Congressional seat.

So, are you mostly supporting Dave Brat because of his abilities and campaign, or have you simply had more of Eric Cantor than you can stand?

Or quite possible, you have has enough of Cantor and also find Dave Brat an appealing candidate in his own right.

One vote each, please! You may vote here or on the poll to the right.

Both! Dave Brat is an excellent candidate! And I am tried of Cantor going all over the country fundraising while not being interested in what his constituents think about the issues and what is going on in the 7th District. Cantor is more concerned about keeping and getting more power, that he has lost sight of what he was elected to do, being our elected Representative! This is our turn to term limit him, but voting in someone better. Dave Brat is going to vote based on principles, verse Cantor wondering how will this look on his voting record.

Any member of Congress after 1-2 terms has a decision to make. Either they become virtual slaves to the money ( patrons who will support their re-election efforts ) or the party bosses who can either propel them into leadership positions or crush them should they choose.

Cantor is no different from the majority of members, in so much that lining their personal pockets, setting up their friends and crony pals becomes their full time job. The examples abound, but just look at the studies done by some of the best think tanks that examined the net worth of members after 10 years in Congress, they are doing very well indeed while the Country suffers.

To simply say they are compromised after a few terms is a understatement. All the more reason to do two things as quickly as we can ( given the incumbent advantages ) First, we go to public financing for all elective office campaigns. It has to be clear , particularly in this race with Brat that Cantor only has the chance he does because of the money advantage. On a level playing field Brat would clean the floor with this clown.
Second , and equally important is legislation limiting their terms . Our Founders understood the danger of career politicians, we now have ample experience to see what happens after a few terms.

As I told Congressman Wittman 3 years ago, if you want to continue to “serve the public” come out here and run one of these TEA Party groups, working enormous numbers of hours for no compensation. Anytime I hear them refer to themselves as “public servants” it almost makes me sick.

Got a call from Eric Cantor campaign this morning wanting to know how I would vote if the election were today. I responded with an enthusiastic David Brat.

I am so happy to see that Eric has to spend his money trying to find out how bad he is going to lose in 8 days. Of course he wants to know if he is winning, but if he is still polling 8 days away, I think we know the answer.

David Brat is pulling ahead, and Cantor is still lying. The lies are not working this time around. Looks like the consultants may be looking for a new RINO to serve, but I bet it won’t be Dave Brat.

Come on, Virginia . . . make it happen.

  5. Peggy McLoughlin says:

I’m a Kansan amd I am SO hoping that Dave Brat will win on June 10!! Get out the vote Virginia!! You all can make a real difference for our country!
