Birds of a Feather Remember last week or the week before when it was being reported that Fidel said that the Cuban economy doesn’t work? Well just like a leftist, he’s back pedalled from that position, since like all good leftists, lying is second nature. Just ask Obama. The Cuban economy is in shambles and leftist apologists are working to get sanctions removed before Fidel and his brother Raul have an unhappy encounter with the people they betrayed. Fidel said what he said, but now disavows it as it is proving to be a bit uncomfortable for him. Frank Calzon at the South Sentinel lays out the scene. Cuba, once the largest sugar producer in the world, is now importing sugar for their own needs. That is yet another symptom of the Cuban government’s command and control economy, something that the…

The question before the Disruptive court is, are you ready for a John Bolton presidential run? The answer: Yes. Yes I am . John Bolton has conquered enemies who haven’t even attacked America yet. When pressed as to whether that means he would consider a run, Bolton seemed to suggest that he might do it, at the very least to help put national security issues at the top of the debate agenda. “In the sense that I want to make sure that not only in the Republican Party, but in the body politic as a whole, people are aware of threats that remain to the United States . You know, as somebody who writes op-eds and appears on the television, I appreciate as well as anybody …

Existing home sales drop 27% in July. Obama’s master plan for the pillaging of America continues unabated. Existing home sales fell sharply in July, declining for a third straight month, as the effects of the expired homebuyer tax credit continued to add turbulence to the housing market. And some wondered what Rush meant when he said, ‘I hope he fails’.

It has been rumored for some time now that the NRA (National Rifle Association) will endorse Harry Reid in the Nevada Senate race against the conservative Sharron Angle. This is confusing to most because while Sharron Angle is a 100% Second Amendment supporter, Harry Reid pretends to be pro-gun but uses his position in the Senate to undermine the right to keep and bear arms. While the NRA has gone out of their way to state that they have yet to endorse anyone in this race. For the record, the NRA-PVF has not yet made an endorsement in the Nevada U.S. Senate race . In fact, there have been no announced endorsements for any U.S. Senate seat for the November general elections—period. It is increasingly apparent that the Reid endorsement is coming. The August issue of the NRA magazines included a preemptive explanation for the unpopular recommendation titled Making Endorsements Count which regurgitates the NRA-PVF Endorsement Policy . They go on about being non-partisan and a single issue organization that …

Went a wandering tonight, uncontent with the topics that have already been covered by the usual outlets, most notably by the premiere political philosophy and gossip site in the Universe, Disrupt The Narrative . That may be an overstatement. Or simply prophetic. LOL. I thought it might be fun to drop in on the Democratic Socialists of America’s video channel, since World Net Daily is suggesting that we have over 70 members of Congress that are members. I’m a little leery of World Net Daily, but after watching a little of this video they may be on to something. What the DSA is saying doesn’t veer very far from the script coming from the White House or Capitol Hill, so the similarities are not coincidental. I couldn’t isolate a particular video clip like you can on many video sites, but this is the first video you’ll hit. David Schweikart, is a professor at Loyola University and is/was a member of Progressives for Obama , and whose daughter works for one of the big hedge funds in…wait for it….Chicago. He rails about his…

I’m having an R. Lee Ermy GEICO, “Tissue?” moment after reading this opinion piece on CNN. Apparently, life has been hell for this muslim since 9/11 . He feels that people eye him suspiciously. Sure, he admits that 9/11 was a terrible thing, but he’s in the camp that calls the hijackers a crazed minority. Missing from his storyare any references to the Fort Dix 6, Christmas Day Bomber, Daniel Pearl’s beheading, the incineration of the American contractors in Iraq, Major Hassan and the Ft. Hood massacre, and numerous other terrorist incidents carried out or attempted by more than just a few extremists. Some people have clearly decided that 9/11 gives them the right to persecute Muslims. And as a result, we are all collectively paying for the sins of terrorists — a radical, crazy few who just happen to share the same religious background. I’m sorry, but I don’t recall any stories about muslim persecution, or if there were any, they are very few and isolated. Considering what some muslims have done to us, brutal, heinous things, that restraint can only be characterized as remarkable. He’s …

America is an extraordinary country. Every time you think you’ve got it sussed, it surprises you. It is the sheer diversity of the US that makes anti-Americanism so perverse. Norm Leahy over at Tertium Quids posted this story about Daniel Hannan’s address to a rural southern GOP committee. Hannan, who is an outspoken conservative and a champion of liberty, scolds the Republican Party for forgetting that it gained popularity for its early stance on state’s rights and individual liberty but had since abandoned that platform to tilt at windmills beyond its purvey. Let’s just say that he had an encounter he was not anticipating. I don’t LOL often…

The bile is rising up in my gut as this has been one of the most horrific weeks in American history. Sure, we’ve faced attacks and wars and death and other unspeakable attacks on America, but NEVER BEFORE have the American people been assaulted on so many fronts from WITHIN. Our Government is accelerating its attack on her own people in a Cloward-Piven, overwhelm the system, frenzy that makes this week historical. The following appears in no particular order. It’s a rant. Skip over it or get over it. No linking. Got questions? Put them in the comments and I’ll give you the particulars. As for this President and his birthday, may this be the first of many, long, lonely miserable birthdays that he suffers through as a failed one term (or hopefully less) President. As the rabbi said in Fiddler on the Roof…May God bless the Czar and keep him…very far away from us. Or something like that….

Many different topics in a single post, but in some oblique way they are related. I’m having an ADHD kinda day. State Debt per Capita: Big Winner: Nebraska @ $15 per resident. Big loser: Connecticut @ $4859 per resident. Go to CNN Money to scroll over your state on the map to see your share. That’s just State debt, not to be confused with your share of the national debt, which is $43,074.27 No wonder Obama’s approval rating has plummeted to 41 points and the people are now openly defying this President and his agenda. Missouri sent yet another volley over Obama’s bow by voting 71% in favor of Proposition C yesterday, which would prohibit the…
