The Council has spoken, the votes have been cast, and the results are in for this week’s Watcher’s Council match up. Plus ça change, plus c’est la même chose (The more things change, the more they stay the same) This week’s winner, Joshuapundit’s Adolf Hitler-Progressive Pioneer is something of a controversial problem child, and I’m [...]

For the last few years, the Mechanicsville TEA Party has been meeting on Wednesday nights. While attendance is always good, a lot of the members find that the Wednesday meetings conflict with Church Services the same night. (You know how we all cling to our Religion.) This week, on Thursday February 7, 2013 the MTP [...]

I awaited with baited breath the second part of PBS’ American Experience, The Abolitionists. I thought part one was very good. But I was bitterly disappointed with part two. Let me start with what I liked: I think their discussion of the 1850 Fugitive Slave Law was excellent. The rendition of Anthony Brown back to [...]

This is a dark day for the American people, the Constitution, and the rule of law. This is a dark day for American liberty. This decision goes against the very principle that America has a federal government of limited powers; a principle that the Founding Fathers clearly wrote into the Constitution, the supreme law of [...]

Alexandria, Va. - Taxpayers Protection Alliance president David Williams today released the below statement regarding the Supreme Court’s decision on the Affordable Care Act. “Obamacare today became the largest tax increase in American history. The health care law has nearly doubled in cost from $940 billion to $1.76 trillion and taxpayers deserve nothing less than full repeal [...]

This is an Op-Ed written by Terry Beatley of No Excuse Ministry PAC. In response to the letter to the editor with the title “Think you have control over your own body, ladies?” I would like to share a counter viewpoint from Dr. Bernard Nathanson, the co-founder of NARAL, America’s largest abortion lobby group. Doug Ross has an interesting post that expresses just what I was thinking: The Master Chief reminds us that the dumbest vice president in American history likely played a role in the tragedy that saw 31 special operators killed, 25 of whom served in the ultra top-secret SEAL Team Six. …It is believed that many [...]

You’re A Rich Girl Now, Michelle! What a vacation. $75,000 a day on Taxpayer’s expense. Oh, she’s pad for her room. Oh, her Gynecologist lost her Dad. Sorry about that. But why does that give Michelle Obama the right, in the worst recession in American history, to soak the taxpayers? It’s that elitist mentality. She’s [...]

The bile is rising up in my gut as this has been one of the most horrific weeks in American history. Sure, we’ve faced attacks and wars and death and other unspeakable attacks on America, but NEVER BEFORE have the American people been assaulted on so many fronts from WITHIN. Our Government is accelerating its attack on her own people in a Cloward-Piven, overwhelm the system, frenzy that makes this week historical. The following appears in no particular order. It’s a rant. Skip over it or get over it. No linking. Got questions? Put them in the comments and I’ll give you the particulars. As for this President and his birthday, may this be the first of many, long, lonely miserable birthdays that he suffers through as a failed one term (or hopefully less) President. As the rabbi said in Fiddler on the Roof…May God bless the Czar and keep him…very far away from us. Or something like that….

I do not often read Ann Coulter. She was critical of conservative lawyers several months ago on basic interrogation rights and I had to call her out. No word on how she felt about my criticism. But I could not miss this column: Bill Kristol must resign. I agree. He ought to leave the conservative movement. He [...]

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. In a post earlier today,we displayed a picture of President Obama bowing to the Emperor of Japan. It is, indeed, a sad day when the symbolic head of the United States bows to foreign leaders. The message is clear: America bows to you.
The symbolic shame from the event aside, I feel a bit of sorrow and anger for my Black friends. I honestly cannot name even one that would bow to anyone. The sad chapter in American history that saw their ancestors enslaved are lessons that are not easily forgotten, nor should they ever be forgotten.
