As Newt Gingrich rises in the Republican Primary polls in state after state, so too does he rise in national polls. A new Rasmussen Poll has Gingrich leading Barack Obama 45% – 43%. A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey of Likely Voters finds Gingrich attracting 45% of the vote while President Obama earns support [...]

Three weeks ago MSNBC reported (I have taken the liberty of underlining some the bubbly comments): U.S. economic growth increased at its fastest in a year in the third quarter as consumers and businesses set aside fears about the recovery and stepped up spending, creating momentum that could carry into the final three months of [...]

Reporting on a new Washington Post/ABC News poll, The Post writes, “Deepening economic pessimism has pushed down President Obama’s approval rating to a near record low . . . . In the survey, 47 percent approve of the job Obama is doing, down seven points since January. Half of all Americans disapprove of his job [...]

A Washington Post / ABC News poll released today has some bad news for President Obama. His approval has slipped to 47%. A full 50% disapprove of the job Obama is doing. I know what you are thinking. The liberal WaPo and equally liberal ABC News conducting a poll? Can this be a fair poll? [...]

I have blogged frequently on what I contend is the most important issue in the United Kingdom today: Sovereignty. Specifically the UK’s withdrawal from the EU. Some highlights: Add the Daily Express to the roll of honor for the United Kingdom. Add this newspaper to the names of Churchill, Nelson, Wellington, Pitt the Elder and [...]

Christopher Booker writes in the Daily Telegraph about the uselessness of the EU and how the European on the street is getting wise to it. Booker reports that the average approval rating in EU nations for the multinational pretend empire is a wonderful 19 percent. (In the UK it is TEN percent! No wonder the [...]

That’s directness NJ Gov. Chris Christie style. I saw him a few days back on Fox and Friends and he absolutely, positively said he would not run for President. What a pity. Americans are in the mood for this type of honesty, delivered with unflinching directness and without apology or soft soaping. His approval rating? 57% . I rest my case. Behold, his magnificence, the undisputed KING of Governors, Chris Christie… As DrewM. over at Ace of Spades put it, When the big man takes off his coat…you’re toast. I love the way he dresses

As the media begins to hype polls for the November elections, one thing stands out to anyone that compares the polls. There is a huge variance between the different polling outfits. For example, Real Clear Politics, a group that averages the polls and tries to use that average as a measure of how the public [...]

That would make it D-219, R-215. if this were an average election, which it is not. But don’t despair. The article later goes on to remind us that Bill Clinton, who had a 46% approval rating and was enjoying the prosperity of the dot com boom with a gangbuster economy at the time LOST 53 seats. Plus, this Congress enjoys an 11% approval rating and is rife with one corruption scandal after another and has the recent history of not only ignoring the will of the people, but taunting us as well. Obama enjoyed 62% approval among independents when he first took office. That number has slipped to just north of 38% , a stunning 24% drop, as the ill informed realize that they’ve been taken in by a confidence man through the fawning support of a biased media. A repeat of the 194 housecleaning would make it D-202, R-231. My gut tells me it may even be more dramatic than that, but I’ll take those

Many different topics in a single post, but in some oblique way they are related. I’m having an ADHD kinda day. State Debt per Capita: Big Winner: Nebraska @ $15 per resident. Big loser: Connecticut @ $4859 per resident. Go to CNN Money to scroll over your state on the map to see your share. That’s just State debt, not to be confused with your share of the national debt, which is $43,074.27 No wonder Obama’s approval rating has plummeted to 41 points and the people are now openly defying this President and his agenda. Missouri sent yet another volley over Obama’s bow by voting 71% in favor of Proposition C yesterday, which would prohibit the…

Vice President Joe Biden and the Obama administration rolled out their “Recovery Summer” tour to much fanfare last month, but The Washington Post writes today, “In a series of polls, the public has expressed deep skepticism about the economic direction Obama began taking in early 2009. A clear majority now say they disapprove of his [...]

The current Gallup poll shows President Obama’s approval rating at 46%, tied with his disapproval rating. But the telling part of the poll is the jump in disapproval. The poll shows a drop in approval from the previous day of 3% and a rise in the disapproval of 2%.
Over at Rasmussen, the same phenomenon was observed with a drop in approval of 2% and an increase in disapproval of the same amount. Now only 45% approve of Obama while 54% disapprove.
Rasmussen also measures the degree of approval and disapproval providing an index of those that strongly approve to those that strongly disapprove. This index stands at -17 with only 27% strongly approving and 44% strongly disapproving. The significance of this data is a gage of the solid support for or against Obama’s job approval.

Real Clear Politics keeps a running average every day on the polls around the country concerning, among other things, presidential job approval.
Many of these query only “Adults” who take the poll, and these tend to be favorable to Obama. Some of the polls only report registered voters, which trend generally less favorable towards Obama. Rasmussen is generally the only poll comprised of Likely Voters, which consistently score Obama lower than the other samples.

Public Policy Polling released a poll last week that, among other things, showed Former Virginia Senator and Governor George Allen has a solid 50% approval rating. What’s more, the poll shows that 31% of respondents would definitely vote for him and 31% would consider voting for him. In the 2006 elections, Democrat Jim Webb defeated Senator George Allen by a very narrow margin. However, Webb’s failure to hold Town Hall meetings, and refusals to join in the discussion have left many with the feeling they made a mistake. Webb’s approval rating has dipped to 47%, but more telling, his disapproval is at 40%.

It’s no secret that President Obama’s approval rating is sinking faster than MSNBC’s ratings. He has now reached a new milestone in negative approval. The Rasmussen Polls out today show the number of respondents that strongly disapprove of Obama is now 41%. Those that strongly approve is only 32%, giving an approval index of -9. Obama’s approval index has been negative since June 30, 2009.

For the first time since becoming president, Obama’s approval rating comes in below 50% at 49% according to the latest Rasmussen polls. His disapproval rating has risen to 51%. One of the main factors is the president’s push for nationalized health care. As details emerge, more and more people realize that the president is being less than open and honest with the American public. HE admitted to a group of liberal bloggers that he was not familiar with key provisions of the bill.

The “anointed one” dropped 3 more points overnight. It seems that people are beginning to see that Obama is not a Messiah, but simply a false god. And one that is terribly inept at the business of running the country. The same pool shows his overall approval rating is down 2 more points to 51% with 47% disapproving of his performance.
