A person I admire very much who I know is a strong follower of Christ asked me today: Is Governor McDonnell a honorable man? Is he a believer [in Christ]? I answered (after a long pause) YES, I believe the governor is a honorable man and is a believer. I am very disappointed with the [...]

As I mentioned yesterday, my Congressman Eric Cantor and his War on Conservatives has convinced me that all is lost on the National Front with the Republican Party. As Speaker John Boehner and Cantor, two Progressives pretending to be Republicans purge Conservatives from every committee, the result is not only a total and complete move away [...]

Update – 1-18-2012 – The RNC Document condemning Agenda 21 is posted at this link. I reported yesterday about the RNC resolution against Agenda 21 that actually mentions ICLEI as the agency implementing Agenda 21. I got GOOD NEWS! It appears we may have already seen the first salvo fired in the 2013 race for the Virginia Republican nomination for Governor in 2013. Or is it the second? Lt. Governor Bill Bolling announced some time ago that he was running for Governor in 2013, and recently, Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli announced his plans to [...]

The media will judge the turnout as a gauge of Tea Party strength. In 2009 there was a super nice turnout (I estimated 3000) and I thought the turnout was actually pretty good in 2010. (I only stayed a few minutes.) So if you are a Tea Party fan, take a few minutes after work [...]

Congressman Steve King (R-Iowa) visited the Bloggers Lounge at CPAC 2011 and took the time to sit down and discuss any issue bloggers wished to discuss. Of course, repealing ObamaCare is one of Congressman King’s pet projects and I asked him questions with a Virginia twist. No surprise, Congressman King is a big fan of [...]

Yesterday’s Richmond Times-Dispatch has a piece written by Jeff E. Schapiro declaring that Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli is the defacto leader of the Republican Party of Virginia, NOT Governor Bob McDonnell. I tend to agree with this position as Ken has been leading the charge on issues like Obamacare, Cap & Trade, illegal immigration and other key issues facing the Commonwealth. McDonnell is subtle. Cuccinelli is anything but. McDonnell, in his rhetoric, proposes the possible. Cuccinelli propounds principle. McDonnell is the accommodating ponderer. Cuccinelli acts with all deliberate speed. Does McDonnell look weak; Cuccinelli, strong? From the start, McDonnell appears to have allowed Cuccinelli to set the tempo. Cuccinelli is an unapologetic conservative leader who fearlessly executes policy based on principle regardless of the political consequences. He did so as a Delegate to the General Assembly. He did so as a State Senator and he’s doing so as AG. This has …

There are very good reasons that the federal government has never, in the last 221 years, used the Commerce Clause of the Constitution as a vehicle for requiring citizens to purchase goods or services from other citizens.
