GIVE MOUNT RUSHMORE Back to the ORIGINAL AMERICANS? SHOW THIS GUY the DOOR! GUESS Who Agrees? ICLEI CHARTER Does!

I blogged on the adventures of Special Rapporteur James Ayala, sent by the UN Human Rights Council (You mean the one with Saudi Arabia on it?  Yes, dear readers, that one!) to investigate US treatment of Original Americans.  Ayala called for reparations but thankfully Congress did not even meet with him.

Here’s the latest idea from Special Rapporteur Ayala:  Give Mount Rushmore back to the Original Americans.  No, you can’t make stuff like this up about the UN!

South Dakota’s Black Hills, home to the granite faces carved into Mt. Rushmore, should be restored as Native American tribal lands, a United Nations official recently said.

The United States has already offered reparations but the Original Americans said no:

The Black Hills, home to Mount Rushmore, are public land but are considered sacred by the Sioux tribes. The Sioux have refused to accept money awarded in a 1980 U.S. Supreme Court decision and have sought return of the land. The Black Hills and other lands were set aside for the Sioux in an 1868 treaty. But Congress passed a law in 1877 taking the land.

Ayala continued his scold of the US:

According to Anaya, handing over these lands would be a key step toward repairing relations with the indigenous people who once controlled them. It would also further the nation’s compliance with the U.N. Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, a measure that President Barack Obama endorsed in 2010, reversing a previous vote.

I knew there was a UN document sneaking around somewhere!  Here it is!  It’s not a treaty but it has all sorts of “rights” for indigenous peoples around the world.  Of course President Obama is all for it! I say, NO on new vague UN rights!

BUT GUESS WHO ELSE supports the “rights” of indigenous peoples?  If you said ICLEI, you are right!  Here’s the pertinent clause from ICLEI’s Charter:

Charter 1.7 – Principles
The Association shall promote, and ask its individual members to adopt, the following Earth
Charter Principles to guide local action:

****

(12) Uphold the right of all, without discrimination, to a natural and social environment
supportive of human dignity, bodily health, and spiritual well-being, with special attention to the
rights of indigenous peoples and minorities.

Here‘s the charter text!  ICLEI is indeed a Fifth Column, supporting in part of taxpayer dollars who will probably seek to take our property and give it back to the Original Americans!  Time to show this guy the door and take ICLEI with him!  (Defunding these cynical errands might be a good alternative idea!)

Poll: Lugar Trails Mourdock by 10 Points

Indiana Senator Dick Lugar is Barack Obama’s favorite Republican. And Lugar has apparently caused Republican House MAjority Leader Eric Cantor’s heart to go pitter pat as Cantor’s PAC is begging Democrats to jump in and vote for Lugar in the Republican Primary.

Lugar has gone from 5 points down before Cantor’s support to 10 points down since.

Indiana voters are pretty rankled with Lugar after it was discovered he has not owned a home or lived in Indiana in years. And apparently, the Young Guns PAC is seen as meddling by big money from more out of state residents. I soke to a few Hoosiers who happen to be fellow Indy Colt’s fans. I have been assailed (in good humor, of course) about keeping my Virginia Congressman and his out of state money out of Indiana.

I told them it happens all the time. Local Senate Candidate Tim Kaine is getting tons of money from groups like “Majority PAC” who are doing exactly the same thing.

The down side of the out of state money is that it more or less ties the hands of Conservative Bloggers who would love to jump on Kaine for allowing all the out of state money to influence Virginia Politics. But with what is going on with Lugar, it seems that Cantor has pretty much tied our hands on that issue.

It would be hypocritical to jab Kaine and not respect the concerns of my fellow Colt fans.

So let me just, for the record, state that I have come down against out of state money being used to influence elections no matter whose pockets are involved.

Besides, it often backfires and makes the home crowd angry as it obviously has in Indiana.

According to The Hill:

Sen. Dick Lugar (R-Ind.) is 10 points behind his primary opponent, according to a new nonpartisan poll, making it highly unlikely he’ll win Tuesday’s contest.

Lugar trails Indiana state Treasurer Richard Mourdock (R) 48 percent to 38, according to a poll released Friday from Howey Politics Indiana and DePauw University. That is Mourdock’s largest lead in any poll conducted of the race, including those by groups backing him.

This is the latest — and biggest — bad sign for the six-term incumbent: The poll is considered the most accurate in the state. Lugar already has seen a major outside group pull funding from his campaign, another sign that even allies of Lugar don’t think he can be saved at this point.

It would appear that Indiana voters have had enough of Lugar and his free spending, Obama supporting ways and are ready to send him home. Although he technically doesn’t have a home in Indiana to go to.

Would Mitt Romney Have Ordered Bin Laden’s Death?

You have probably seen the Barack Obama campaign commercial by now in which Obama spikes the football again and again wanting his “props” for ordering Seal Team 6 to execute Osama bin Laden.

Which for many was a step too far, especially after the left criticized former President George W. Bush at the mere sight of anything related to 9/11 during his campaign.

But then, after already stepping over the line, Obama had to go one step further in the ad and question whether Mitt Romney would have made the call to kill the terrorist behind the 9/11 tragedy.

I believe Romney’s response was “Even Jimmy Carter would have made that call.”

But the thing that is very revealing is that it would occur to Obama’s campaign to even contemplate such a question. This is a very telling sign that Obama struggled with the decision, which people should find troubling.

Reports were that Obama knew the whereabouts of bin Laden for 5 months before he finally made up his mind to green light the operation.

One Democratic operative offered the defense that they wanted to make sure bin Laden was actually there. And the evidence they had was not even enough to get a search warrant in Chicago. (And we all know how corrupt that city is.)

Obama is perfectly happy to raid Gibson Guitar plants and strip search 4 year olds and Grannies with no evidence at all. And his “drone strikes” would hardly qualify for search warrants either.

No. With Mitt Romney there were two possibilities. Either he would order Osama bin Laden dead, or he would send him to a secret site to extract information and save American lives.

With Obama, there were those two possibilities, but there was also a pretty good chance that his first though was to put bin Laden on trial in New York.

With Romney, there is a less than zero chance of that happening. The same is not true of Obama.

For 5 months Obama struggled with this decision. A decision that was as easy as “do you want fries with that”.

That Obama struggled with this should scare everyone.

The question we need to ask ourselves is, which man would be more likely to want to try bin Laden in a New York court.

Will Eric Cantor’s Support for Lugar Torpedo George Allen and Mitt Romney in Virginia?

One of the most unsettling bits of news out of Washington DC lately concerns House Majority Leader Eric Cantor and his support for Indiana Senator Dick Lugar.

Normally, we wouldn’t get too concerned over Cantor or any Republican supporting a fellow Republican incumbent.  It is understandable that the decision to support Lugar is not popular to the more Conservative set, but he is a Republican and if Cantor believes he is more of an asset to him, then it is a logical decision for Eric Cantor, albeit

And in the interest of full disclosure, Virginia Right! has endorsed Lugar’s opponent, Richard Mourdock. But that is not important here. (Also, while we are on the subject of full disclosure, Virginia Right! is based in Eric Cantor’s 7th Congressional District. And that is somewhat important here.)

While Cantor does have a primary challenger for the Republican nomination this year, losing his seat in the primary or the general election is considered by most to be highly unlikely.

So, personally, Cantor need not worry about losing his seat, it is safe.

But the dynamics in Virginia this year are unlike any other. The threat from the Progressives is substantial. Defeating these Democrats is the highest priority if the country is to survive.

We will need all hands on deck to defeat Barack Obama and Tim Kaine. Both of these races are dead heats according to the polls. And it is hard to argue with the fact that these are close races, or that Barack Obama will pull out all the stops to elect Tim Kaine who would be an Obama rubber stamp.

But on the ground in Virginia, a number of TEA Party groups stand ready to pitch in and make calls and knock on doors to help persuade voters to vote out Obama and prevent Tim Kaine from becoming Virginia’s Junior Senator.

And despite the mainstream media’s claim that the TEA Party has taken over the Republican Party, which is not even close to the truth, both camps realize that they have a mutual enemy in 2012 – the Progressives. And only by working together can Virginia and the country begin to recover from the loss of liberty and federal power grab by the Obama Administration.

But the TEA Party and Republicans have, in many areas of Virginia, formed a tenuous and fragile alliance for 2012. Without this alliance, Obama and Kaine will most likely win.

Whether deserved or not, Cantor’s recent actions to support candidates like Lugar, Adam Kinzinger in Illinois and Richard Hudson in North Carolina have been perceived by the TEA Party as an effort to keep the more conservative candidates out of government and a direct affront to the TEA Party.

But the thing that TEA Party groups are finding most egregious was a mailing from Cantor’s Super PAC Young Guns that encouraged Democrats to vote for Lugar in the Republican Primary.

According to Politico:

A lit piece that the YG Network dropped focuses, as they’d said it would, on energy policy – but it is targeted to non-Republicans, as it reminds voters that Indiana’s GOP primary is an open one in which Democrats and independents can vote.

“Indiana does not have party registration,” the mail piece says over a picture of a smiling child giving a thumbs-up sign. “You simply need to show up at your polling location on May 8, 2012 to vote for Senator Dick Lugar in the Republican Primary.”

In case anyone didn’t get the point, the piece adds, “You can vote in the May 8th Republican Primary election! The May 8th Election is open to all voters.”

Back home in Virginia, that is not playing well. The Republican Party of Virginia is quite fond of using a “loyalty oath” to prevent crossover votes by Democrats in primary elections. Yet we have Cantor’s PAC pushing Democrats to invade the Republican primary and support Lugar in Indiana.

That has enraged a number of TEA Party members who are now telling me that they are reconsidering knocking on doors and manning Republican phone banks to aid Mitt Romney and presumptive Senate candidate George Allen to a Virginia victory in November.

There may well be few, if any, repercussions to Cantor’s actions in his own reelection bid, but Virginia will need every vote they can muster to keep Tim Kaine and Barack Obama from power. Alienating a large group of grassroots activists who stand ready to help, even if some feel the necessity to hold their nose while doing so, is not particularly helpful, especially in the 2012 election.

And it is hard to imagine that many Virginia Republicans would be willing to accept the election of Dick Lugar if it costs Republicans the Virginia Senate seat. Or worse, the presidency.

On the surface, Cantor’s support of Dick Lugar may seem inconsequential to the elections in Virginia, but there are substantial consequences.

If Tim Kaine and Barack Obama are to be defeated in Virginia, Republicans will need all the help they can get. Independents are important, but the TEA Party and more Libertarian minded voters are the key to victory for Republicans.

The Young Guns are shooting George Allen and Mitt Romney in the foot in Virginia.

Thanks Obama: The Car Is STILL in the Ditch and Now We Are FLAT BROKE and Out of Gas!

During the 2008 election campaign, Candidate Barack Obama was fond of using the analogy that George Bush “drove the car in a ditch” to pertray an image that Bush had carelessly and perhaps recklessly caused the financial crisis in which America found itself.

Here we are nearly four years later and the economy has yet to recover and while the unemployment rate has dropped from the high point, it is still above the mark Obama inherited. And the only reason the number has declined is because millions of Americans have been removed from the ranks of the unemployed because they have given up hope of finding a job in the Obama economy.

We now have 45 million people on food stamps, a 70% increase since 2007. And the numbers are expected to continue to climb through 2013.

Race relations are at an all time low and Obama has managed to pit one group against another in nearly every walk of life. Church against state, Federal government against state government, left against right and unions against everyone.

And Obama has made it a point to not only destroy the American dream, but punish those who manage to actually achieve it!

We are now hated by more countries around the world than ever.

Our treasury is $5 trillion in debt.

The tank is empty. Figuratively and literally. The Obama administration has wasted billions of dollars he promised would produce jobs and green energy and we have seen none. Even worse, he has shut down oil exploration and drilling on federal lands, stopped the Keystone XL Pipeline and outlawed coal. And now, unable to put a stop to the practice called hydraulic fracturing, or fracking, because much of that is taking place on non federal land, Obama has turned to regulating the ozone “pollution” that the equipment produces. Fracking has made Natural Gas cheap – really cheap. And it has provided much needed jobs.

And Obama has borrowed more money in three years than Bush did in eight. And Obama called the debt Bush amassed “unpatriotic”.

Not only are we still “in the ditch,” we are flat broke and out of gas.

And Obama’s “green” jobs and energy are also bankrupt. And there is even the ultimate bit of irony that Wind Farms not only kill birds, they are contributing to global warming! Not to mention the fact that it takes more energy to heat the turbines in the winter to prevent freezing than they actually produce!

So Obama has decided to change the “Hope and Change” slogan to “Forward”.

What I can figure out is if the new slogan is intended to signal that Obama has finally found the forward gear on the car, or if he doesn’t want Americans to look back on the last 4 years.

Even the Progressives sitting in the back seat of the stuck, out of gas car are screaming “Are we there yet?”

No. We are not. It is time to find someone who knows how to drive.

Let’s put the dog on top of the car, change drivers and get out of this ditch.

Obama is even leaving a bad taste in Seamus mouth!

E.W. Jackson Wins First Virginia US Senate Debate for Republican Nomination

ROANOKE, VA – Republican Candidate for US Senate Bishop E.W. Jackson won the first of three debates that the Republican Party of Virginia has planned between now and the Republican Primary on June 12, 2012.

Jackson’s enthusiasm and charisma was in full display as this man of humble beginnings has gone from a foster child to candidate for the United States Senate.

The other candidates, George Allen, Bob Marshall and Jamie Radtke all did well, but we are unable to pick a second place winner from the rest of the field. So we will call it a three way tie for second.

For those not familiar with the candidates, or all of the candidates, we will take a look at the basic issues each presented as the strong suit of their platform and critique the performance of each candidate. After speaking with and listening to all of the candidates on many occasions over the last few years, we will try to present an unbiased review of the four remaining candidates performance at yesterday’s debate and the main points of their individual platforms.

The four candidates have a great deal more in common than they do differences. All are Conservative, passionate about fixing America’s problems and any one of these candidates are far more qualified than the Democratic opponent Tim Kaine who is a puppet at the bidding of Barack Obama.

(In alphabetical order.)

George Allen

Platform – The basic tenets of George Allen’s platform is perhaps the most unique of the group. Allen has made the main foundation of his platform Energy. Specifically, low cost, abundant American Energy. And this includes oil, coal, natural gas, nuclear as well as the newer, less mature “green” energies and emerging renewable energy technologies. And specifically, Virginia’s abundant wealth of cheap energy such as coal and off shore petroleum, which the Obama Administration has failed to take advantage of, and worse, has essentially shut down.

Allen’s platform realizes that abundant, low cost clean energy is the basic foundation of jobs and economic growth. And as a Virginia US Senator, Allen plans to push the natural resources of Virginia as well as the rest of the nation in the quest for energy independence. With the Obama Administration insisting on technologies that drive up the cost of energy already killing jobs, many of our other problems, like the debt, are directly related to the loss of jobs as government has to spend more and more for basic American welfare needs and collects less and less in taxes with the high rate of unemployment.

Allen believes that with full development of the energy resources we have that the debt and other problems facing the country will be dramatically different with the jobs that will come from American Energy.

Debate Performance – George Allen is the most well known of the candidates having served in the Virginia Legislature, as Governor of the Commonwealth and as US Senator. Over the years, Allen has been a strong Conservative and he has compiled a history that is well known to most Virginians. Allen came off in the debate as he always does. He is the person you are comfortable sitting down with and discussing the problems facing the world. Allen presented his argument for energy as the likable neighbor who has been a friend for many years. His delivery is heavy on common sense and focused on the future and the role energy must play if America is to recover. Allen had the greatest focus on defeating Tim Kain in yesterday’s debate and it was clear his main focus was on two things. Fixing America and defeating Kaine. His answers to most questions were based both on what he has done in the past and what he plans to do in the future as a Senator. His strong suit is his experience and his knowledge of the evolution of America’s problems. And knowing how we arrived in the mess we find ourselves is an important consideration in how to fix the problems.

Negative Remarks – Allen had nothing negative to say about any of the other Candidates (unless you count Tim Kaine). He was the recipient of several “barbs” from candidate Jamie Radtke and only used his allotted time to respond to one of the negative remarks which was about his 4 votes to raise the debt ceiling. He defended the votes as necessary to properly equip the troops involved in the wars overseas and pointed out that the votes were for increases of a far smaller scale than what has occurred under the current Administration.

Summary – Allen did not “knock the ball out of the park” on any question, gave full answers and did not “dodge” or fail to answer any of the questions. His performance was exactly as most expected: steady and well considered. He was very comfortable with the venue and did nothing to hurt his standing as the front runner and would not have hurt his chances among the undecided in the room, but probably did not do much to persuade undecided to move his way. In all, a good, solid performance in which he communicated his platform well.

Bishop E.W. Jackson

Platform – E.W. Jackson’s platform as he explained it yesterday is fully TEA Party compatible. Jackson is a strong advocate of smaller government and less federal intervention in our lives. He is an opponent of tax increases and favors major spending cuts including eliminating several departments including the EPA and the Department of Education and others. Smaller government, lower taxes and a strict adherence to the Constitution. He supports Social Security reform and was the only candidate to offer models by Chile and other places as potential remedies to our broken system.

Debate Performance – As previously stated, Jackson won the debate with his fiery charisma and a rock solid performance. Of the four candidates, Jackson is the only one that word “charisma” even springs to mind. His passion for America is infectious and he never hesitates or searches for words. His speeches (and I have seen many) are well received in both TEA Party circles as well as Republican groups. Instantly likable and quickly relates to the audience. He begins by letting the group know that he is not an African-American, he is an American. Jackson is the least experienced of the group in politics, but presents a strong case and is impossible to scratch off of the list. He is no “novelty” as a writer for the Times Dispatch described him. He leaves no doubt that he would be a force to contend with if elected.

Negative Remarks – Unless you count Obama, Jackson did not attack any of the other candidates and none attacked him.

Summary – Jackson answered every question fully and did not dodge any. By far the most consistently positive of the candidates. Stayed on message and clearly articulated his position on every question. Used humor, fire and knowledge to make his case. For the undecided in the room, Jackson probably picked up the most voters who were looking for a good, solid candidate to support.

Bob Marshall

Platform – Bob Marshall’s platform is clearly the Constitution and the Federalist Papers. If it is not in the Constitution, Marshall does not support the Federal Government doing it – whatever “it” is. And Marshall is also running on his record as a Virginia Delegate and there is no argument or ambiguity about his consistent adherence to the Constitution and limited government. Marshall will not go along with the status quo  and walk the line for anyone, his party or not, if he believes something is unconstitutional in the strictest sense. And his record proves it.

Debate Performance – If you have never heard Bob Marshall speak, you really need to at some point. At first blush, you will probably think him a bit “off the wall” and some even say “out there” but as you listen, you will find that Bob Marshall has an encyclopedic knowledge of all things government. The Constitution is one of his strong suits, but he has a depth of understanding of Parliamentarian Procedures and laws. He is like a wizard that can pull a long forgotten rule or law out of his hat in an instant. He has an amazing memory for these things and will (and has) confounded friend and foe with this knowledge. Marshall used examples of bills he has written and pushed through as his strongest argument for why voters should send him to Washington. He tossed in a few jokes like “I thought the TSA was a jobs program for out of work urologists” and a few others. He came off as knowledgeable and likable. And perhaps the most eccentric of the bunch, but in a good way.

Negative Remarks – Marshall struck a doubtful chord about Jamie Radtke’s “My 2 Cents” plan to balance the Federal Budget and jokingly poked George Allen saying “this may be the first time I have ever been to the left of George Allen” referencing his position on the platform and leaving open the political meaning. Not really negative in a “bad” way.

Summary – Bob Marshall is what Ron Paul would be if Paul were an Evangelical. Marshall is both fiscally and socially conservative. He advocates impeaching any Federal Judge that upholds same sex marriage. Marshall is a deeply religious man with a profound love for the Constitution. His social stance would probably turn off Libertarians, but Marshall is very much in line with the Libertarian line of thought in all things except the social issues. His lone jab at Radtke is a tell that he sees her supporters as most likely to move to him, if they were to move at all. And to be sure, his entry into the race has seen some Radtke supporters considering Marshall’s experience as a plus as the two have nearly identical positions on the Constitution, however Radtke is less “enthusiastic” on the social issues. (But she is definitely a social conservative.) Marshall may have made a case to undecided voters who had not heard him speak and who may have been leaning to Radtke. However, Jackson probably come out on top with the “leaning” undecided.

Jamie Radtke

Platform – Having heard Jamie Radtke speak dozens of times going back to her days leading the Richmond TEA Party, she has not wavered or changed a thing. She is truly consistent in her message that federal spending and the debt are the most pressing issues facing America today. As previously mentioned, she is a Social Conservative but sees the debt as the most imminent threat to the country. Cutting spending and balancing the budget are her top platform priorities. Her “My 2 Cents” economic plan will balance the budget in 5 years.

Debate Performance – Radtke is a good public speaker. She has a focused and clear message about government spending and articulated that well. She is passionate about this and left no doubt in the minds of those in attendance. She is a Mom and connected with parents in the crowd who share her concern for their children’s future. Her comments about the Federal Government using fear of losing Social Security year after year as a reason to move to a “self-directed” system for younger people was well received by both the young as well as the more “seasoned” attendees. She predicted that the government run student loan program would fail and that the free market was a better option. She was the only candidate to mention the importance of the second amendment, although there was no question specifically asking about gun rights. She emphasized that she came from a military family growing up and the senate needs the kind of discipline that was instilled in her.

Negative Remarks – Radtke took the opportunity to directly attack George Allen’s record in her responses to 3 of the 7 questions asked in the debate. None of the other candidates went negative with the exception of Bob Marshall’s doubts about Radtke’s “My 2 Cents” plan.

Summary – As always, Jamie Radtke clearly made her case as being focused on spending and debt in the country. She knows what she is talking about and gave numerous examples of government limiting our liberty from what we feed our kids to outlawing Bible study in our own homes. While the other candidates used a bit of humor in their answers, Radtke stayed completely focused and, perhaps “stiff” and not as personable as the other candidates. On the many occasions that I have heard her speak, she usually tosses in a humorous and lighthearted jab at Obama or someone else to help connect with the audience. If this is the first time someone heard Radtke speak, they might have come away with the perception that she was not as “at ease” with the group and somewhat humorless, which is a complete misconception. And while some people detest negative campaigning, it clearly works. And Radtke sees Allen as the obstacle to her nomination and is using the attacks to draw a contrast with her fiscally conservative position and some of his past votes. This may have hurt her a bit among the undecided in the group, but may serve to hold on to her supporters and keep them from drifting to Marshall or Jackson.

Conclusion

The Republican Party of Virginia did a good job of putting on this debate, which was not actually a debate, but a good side by side comparison of the four candidates answering the same questions. The winner was E.W. Jackson who may have picked up a few undecided voters here with a strong, charismatic performance. There were no losers and Virginia should be proud that we have four strong conservative candidates running against an Obama puppet Tim Kaine. I believe that this format that RPV and the candidates agreed upon gave primary voters a good opportunity to see the differences (and similarities) in the candidates without giving the Democrats any ammunition that they can use against the eventual Republican nominee. There are arguments that this format benefits one candidate or another, but the fact is, the format will benefit the eventual Republican candidate and the primary voters without helping the other side. Kudos to Pat Mullins and all four of the candidates for agreeing to this.

Each candidate offers a varying amount of political experience. So voters looking for strong experience and knowledge will find George Allen and Bob Marshall well positioned to their taste. And for those looking for a non politician to send to Washington, Jamie Radtke and E.W. Jackson fill the bill quite nicely.

All see Obama and his policies as a true threat to the nation and all have plans and ideas to return America to a great and prosperous nation.

Some states have had a problem finding a good candidate to run against Senate Democrats up for reelection or retiring. Virginia has a problem of picking between four outstanding individuals, all well suited for the Office of US Senator.

The next debate is May 11, 2012 in Virginia Beach and I look forward to covering that one and offering my thoughts and opinions afterwards.

If you would like more information on any of the candidates, please visit their campaign websites:

George Allen

E.W. Jackson

Bob Marshall

New! Animated Video – Layla the Blog Dog on Obama Eating Dogs!

You have most likely seen some of the previous postings by Virginia Right’s newest blogger, Layla the Fedora wearing Blog Dog.

Every now and again, Layla gets really upset and animated about certain topics.

And Barack Obama eating Dogs was one topic that Layla feels very strongly about.

So she begged me and pleaded with me to let her actually record a video of her expressing her distaste (pardon the pun) of Obama eating Dogs.

So this is her first animated video, and I assure you Layla is completely unleashed!

And Layla insisted we call the new segment:

Just a Doggone Minute!

Hollywood Balks at Obama’s Financial Genocide!

A number of left wingers are now realizing that they have a problem with Barack Obama. Saturday Night Live veteran Jon Lovitz spewed this first profanity laced diatribe aimed squarely at Barack Obama’s plan to divide the country and soak the rich.

See, the one thing that the Limousine Liberals all have in common is that when they say we should all pay more taxes and work more for the government, the “we” they are talking about is everybody but themselves. As elitists, they expect Obama to use other people’s money to fund the massive welfare state he champions. Not Hollywood’s “Beautiful People”.

After all, they are not really like us “commoners” at all. They are above us, like all Progressives envision themselves. Rules and laws are for others.

It appears that their little dream world has been shattered by the Obama wake up call and they are beginning to realize that this person they thought was one of the really cool, elite superstars was also going to come after their money as well!

That’s no fun at all. It should be enough that they all welcome him into their “club”. That they hold fundraisers and pretend that Socialism is cool.

But sadly, as former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher once said, “…and Socialist governments traditionally do make a financial mess. They always run out of other people’s money. It’s quite a characteristic of them.”

And the Hollywood elitists realize that with a more than $15 Trillion National debt, America has already run out of other people’s money. And Hollywood will not be exempted from Obama’s confiscatory tax plans.

And they don’t like it one bit as Lovitz shows in this video.

WARNING – This video is typical of the foul mouthed F-bomb spewing Liberal Elite in Hollywood. The language is pretty bad. You were warned!

Jon Lovitz has clearly realized that Obama sets himself in an elite class above the Hollywood elite. And he sees himself far better than them. Worse (for these lefties) Lovitz seems to realize the Obama is actually using them as a means to an end. And when he is done with them, he will spew them out like last years dog meat.

Lovitz seems to be one of the bright ones that has figured this out. Perhaps he recalls the message in this short poem:

Obviously, Obama is coming for the Hollywood elite. Some have wised up to his plan. It is nothing new. Today’s 1% – the rich we are supposed to hate – are the modern day version of the Jews that Hitler defined as last century’s 1 percenters.

And it is not only the Hollywood Elite that recall the lessons in the poem “First they came for the Jews”.

The New York Times reports:

From Wall Street to Hollywood, from doctors and lawyers, the traditional big sources of campaign cash are not delivering for the Obama campaign as they did four years ago. The falloff has left his fund-raising totals running behind where they were at the same point in 2008 — though well ahead of Mr. Romney’s — and has induced growing concern among aides and supporters as they confront the prospect that Republicans and their “super PAC” allies will hold a substantial advantage this fall.

And some are starting to put on the brakes. No one likes the idea of funding one’s own financial genocide. And many of the wealthy are left choking on their caviar and champagne knowing that Obama’s plans will have their delicate palates reduced to swilling beer and pork rinds instead.

And when you consider the fact that almost half of Americans pay no income tax, Hollywood is not willing to be the cash cow supporting Obama’s welfare state. And an even more staggering statistic that some of the elite find even more appalling is that 30% of those who pay no taxes at all, actually receive money back above and beyond what they paid in.

Reality comes home to roost as Hollywood realizes that “sharing the wealth” includes their money.

Even far left nut-job Michael Moore has problems with this equation. He may look like a pork rind and domestic beer kinda guy, but don’t let the dough-boy appearance fool you. Michael Moore sees himself as the elite’s elite. Above the plight of the “commoner”.

And even he realizes Obama comes for him now.

WARNING: There is no profanity in this video, but it contains actual video of Michale Moore, which is profane in it’s on right.

The wake-up call has been sounded. Hollywood, Unions, and the big Democrat donors are not going to be exempt from Obama’s Brave New World. Anyone with money is evil. Obama will smile as he deftly picks the pockets of anyone in his path. Friend of foe, it makes no difference. He will come for you.

America is in a financial Armageddon and Obama’s Financial Genocide will take no prisoners and leave no survivors.

Except those named Obama – the world’s only true elite.

Gallup Poll: Romney Leading Obama by 5 Points! GOP Ads Hitting Their Mark

The latest Gallup poll shows Mitt Romney leading Barack Obama by 5 points 48% to 43%.

As the Republican Primary draws to a close and everyone has come to the realization that Mitt Romney is going to be the Republican nominee, voters are starting to move away from the failed policies of Obama and are looking for real leadership.

As the Republicans have all but stopped ripping one another and focused their attention on Obama, the efforts are starting to move the needle.

And one of the biggest factors in the shift from Obama has been the focus that the Republican Party has begun to place on the failures and outrageous lies from the Obama Administration.

These two ads are having a big impact. And using Obama’s own words and promises to remind voters of all the rainbow promises this man made and has failed to deliver on has opened a lot of eyes.

And just as effective is the number of Administration officials and Obama cronies who are now being forced to testify in front of Congress about their misdeeds. And for an administration that has nothing but hatred and disdain for the US Constitution, it appears these Obama supporters have found a favorite amendment – the 5th!

Not since the last Democratic Administration have we seen so many people refuse to answer questions because they fear criminal charges.

Americans are waking up to Obama.

Finally!

Tax Loopholes? Let’s End the Biggest Loophole of All – the “Earned” Income Tax Credit

One of the most ridiculous things that we have done with the tax code is build welfare into the system. The Internal Revenue Service and the Tax Code are intended to generate revenue  for the government.

We already know that nearly 50% of Americans pay absolutely no Federal Income Tax. This statistic alone should make Americans gag. There is simply no way this country can continue to operate with half of Americans not investing in the nation.

But it gets worse.

There are a large number of Americans who get a tax “refund” totaling more than they actually paid!

Most of the time these are through the use of credits.

And the Earned Income credit is nothing more than the government’s way of “spreading the wealth”. The government even touts EIC as a major tool against poverty!

Now I have no problem with tax credits under the current tax code. I do have a problem with the entire tax code and believe it should be scrapped for a flat or fair tax where all Americans have some skin in the game. But that is another matter.

And Barack Obama often speaks of “closing tax loopholes” by which he means tax credits and tax deductions. Which is a perversion of the true meaning of ‘loophole’ but we will let that go for now.

The mortgage deduction encourages people to buy homes and if we are going to have government tax tinkering to affect behavior, this is not a bad deduction to have. You are allowed to write off some of the interest you pay on your mortgage loan. Since this interest is taxed as some form of income on your lenders tax return, at least someone is paying taxes on this “revenue”.

And deductions for charity encourage giving, which theoretically saves the government from having to pay for services that churches and other charities can do far more efficiently than the federal government.

And if we are going to have a tax code that the government uses to encourage behavior, owning a home and giving to charity is hardly an ignoble endeavor.

But what about the Earned Income Tax Credit? Exactly what behavior does that serve to encourage? To maximize the benefit you must work very little – or not at all – and have kids. The more the merrier.

And it also helps if you happen to be a “single” parent. You can file as Head of Household and claim the Earned Income Credit. Marriage would significantly reduce – or eliminate entirely – the credit as both incomes must be considered.

So, the best we can say for the Earned Income Credit is that is discourages work and marriage and at the same time encourages having more children.

And the worst aspect of the Earned Income Credit is that you can get a “refund” totaling more than you paid in taxes. Thousands more.

We have welfare programs that are designed to help impoverished persons survive. That is why these programs exist.

The Tax Code is supposed to be designed to provide revenue to run the government – not welfare.

One thing that will go a long way in making the statistic that nearly half of Americans pay no income tax less egregious is if we didn’t know that not only did some pay no tax, but actually got money back as a refund. Which means that the 50% statistic is actually worse than it sounds!

This is obscene.

There is a simple and quick fix.

An few additional lines added to the 1040 form that reads “Tax Refunds may not be greater than taxes actually paid. Enter either the actual taxes paid or refund amount, whichever is lower.”

If someone is in an unfortunate financial situation, as Americans, most would not object to having them not pay into the federal tax pool. But it is absolutely unfair and un-American for anyone – business or individual – to get back more than they pay.

End the Earned Income Tax Credit refunds.

Why Do Liberal Millionaires Support the ‘Buffett Rule’? Waivers, That’s Why!

While Barack Obama tours the nation proclaiming that it is simply unfair that Warren Buffett pays a lower tax rate than his secretary, Buffett is fighting a billion dollars in taxes he is obligated to pay. And this goes back 10 years that he owes back taxes.

So if the guy already fails to pay his fair share, why would he want to pay more?

Well, obviously he doesn’t want to pay more. But like everything else Obama does, he will also most likely grant waivers and “credits” to those who pretend to support him.

One Obama Administration official after another was found to have failed to pay back taxes before they got a job with Obama. So Warren Buffett fits right into this discussion.

An administration that would hire Tim Geithner as Treasury Secretary when it was discovered he owed massive back taxes is simply not credible when they millionaires should pay “their fair share”.

Heck, we’d settle for Obama Administration officials paying what they owe under current tax laws. That would bring in more than the “Buffett Rule” Obama is tooling around the country beating drums for.

In fact, if you add up the jet fuel and security costs associated with Obama’s efforts to divert attention from his failed economic policies with this ridiculous “rule” it will probably bring in next to nothing. And after his tax cheats fail to pay up and he issues all the waivers he normally does to his friends and supporters, we are probably spending more tax dollars whoring the idea than it will ever bring in.

The problem is not that the tax rates are not high enough.

It’s the economy, stupid!

Holder’s Justice

The normal function of a United States Justice Department is to prosecute criminals and make the country safer. But the Eric Holder Department of Justice has done more to endanger Americans than any previous Department of Justice in the history of the United States.

And this is not because of blunders, but by direct and intentional actions that ate part and parcel of the Progressive agenda pushed by Barack Obama.

Going back to the New Black Panther’s who intimidated voters in the 2008 elections and progressing through the “Fast and Furious” debacle and now, once again, with the New Black Panthers.

The decision by the Holder DOJ to not prosecute the Black Panthers involved in the voter intimidation incident was one of the first signs that selective prosecution would be the order of the day under Eric Holder.

And the Holder Justice Department is hardly color blind.

Holder responded to statements made by Texas Republican Rep. John Culberson at a House Appropriations subcommittee hearing. Culberson said, “There’s clearly overwhelming evidence that your Department of Justice refuses to protect the rights of anybody other than African-Americans to vote.”

Holder said, “When you compare what people endured in the South in the ’60s to try to get the right to vote for African Americans, to compare what people subjected to that with what happened in Philadelphia… I think does a great disservice to people who put their lives on the line for my people

So, in Holder’s mind, today’s crimes must be looked at in reference to past injustices against “his people”. In other words, two wrongs make a right. Blacks were intimidated in the past, so Holder’s justice is to allow the same treatment against whites to even the score.

Shortly after Obama took office, we began seeing a concerted effort to push gun control in this country based on statistics spouted by Obama, Hillary Clinton and Holder that 90% of the guns recovered in Mexican crimes came from the United States. This is a damning statistic and one that Holder was determined to exploit to further erode gun rights for American citizens under the guise of stopping the drug related violence in Mexico that spills over the border every day.

But a funny thing happened on the way to depriving Americans of their Second Amendment rights. Fox News looked at the 90% figure and found that it was a complete lie. The actual total is closer to 17%, but because the only guns sent back to the US from Mexican crimes are the ones that appear to have come from here, the 90% is a grossly inflated number not representative of the total number of guns seized. Most come from the Mexican military which are not counted as it would be an embarrassing admission.  Others come from Central and South America, China and Russia.

This report blew the lid off of the Holder deception:

So what is the Obama Administration to do? They still want to shut down gun rights, but they were exposed as liars.

Holder’s Justice calls for a plan to fix the statistics by flooding American guns into Mexico to get the numbers up where they want them and can use them for their anti-gun agenda.

And the stated reasons behind the “Fast and Furious” gun runner program are absolutely laughable. “Let’s allow a bunch of guns to go into Mexico so we can trace them.”

Holder’s Justice was about correcting the statistics with artificial gun dumping in order to advance his agenda. The problem was, a Whistle-blower stepped forward and exposed the entire fraud. And now Holder is stonewalling and refusing to allow people to testify before Congress. Those in charge of the hearings know exactly what Holder was doing. And eventually the truth will surface.

It always does.

Perhaps one of the reasons that Holder is so opposed to states actually doing something to stop illegal entry into the United States is that it would make it harder to get the gun statistics up where they can be useful with states actually watching the borders.

And of course we have the selective justice in the Trayvon Martin – George Zimmerman case. The New Black Panthers have issued a “bounty” on Zimmerman. But because these are Holder’s “people”, this type of vigilantism is once again overlooked.

On the one hand, Holder files a lawsuit against states for taking justice into their own hands by passing border security laws, but the New Black Panthers are allowed to take justice into their oun hands and Holder is quiet.

That’s Holder’s Justice.

And as a result, to counter the inaction by Holder, White Supremacists have now moved into the area in Sanford, Fl to “protect the white people” because Holder allows such threats to go unchecked.

Holder’s Justice is unequal justice. That is never a solution in a civilized society. Justice must be color blind no matter who is in charge.

Holder has added fuel to the fires in Mexico and Sanford Florida. His misguided attempts at gun control have already cost lives unnecessarily. And his failure to put a stop to citizens using a bounty to force their idea of justice will most likely cost lives as well. holder already has blood on his hands. We do not need any more.

Holder’s justice is not American justice. And American justice is for all people, not just “Holder’s people”.

It really is time for Holder to go. The sooner the better.

In Speech, McConnell Blasts Obama Attempt to Indimidate Court: “I Would Suggest the President Back Off”

Reuters wrote yesterday, “The White House was forced on the defensive on Wednesday as it sought to explain controversial remarks President Barack Obama made earlier in the week about the Supreme Court’s review of his signature healthcare reform law. . . . Obama expressed confidence on Monday that the Court would not take an ‘unprecedented, extraordinary step’ by overturning the law, provoking a storm of protest that he had been inaccurate and was challenging the nation’s top judges in an election year. . . . During robust questioning when [White House Press Secretary Jay] Carney was told at one point that he had mischaracterized what the president had said, the press secretary was forced to repeatedly defend the remarks of his boss . . . .”

Speaking at the Rotary Club of Lexington, Kentucky, today, Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell discussed his criticism of President Obama’s preemptive complaints about the Supreme Court’s consideration of the president’s health care law. “[A]fter a careful study of the law and the precedents, and after weighing the arguments on both sides, the Court will make its final determination. Whether I agree with it or not, I’ll respect the decision. But, apparently, President Obama didn’t like the tenor of some of the questions the justices asked about the health care law during last week’s hearings, questions that highlighted the unprecedented power that the administration now has over your and everybody else’s health care as a result of its passage. So earlier this week, the President did something that as far as I know is completely unprecedented: he not only tried to publicly pressure the Court into deciding a pending case in the way he wants it decided; he also questioned its very authority under the Constitution.”

He added, “Now, the President’s words were particularly troubling given his past treatment of the Court. Two years ago, he used a State of the Union Address to publicly chastise the Court for its decision in another case he didn’t like — with members of the Court sitting just a few feet away. He looked at the line that wisely separates the three branches of government, and stepped right over it. But what the President did this week went even farther. With his words, he was no longer trying to embarrass the Court after a decision; rather, he tried to intimidate it before a decision has been made. And that should be intolerable to all of us.”

Leader McConnell continued, “[A]t the end of the day, it’s the judiciary that ensures we’re a nation ruled by laws, not the whim of a President or a particular Congress. That’s why the Founders made sure the people who sit on the courts have lifetime appointments. It’s why the Constitution explicitly prohibits Congress from lowering their pay. It’s why justices enjoy the freedom to decide cases as they see fit, even if it means upsetting the very President who appointed them. The truth is, if this law’s in trouble, it’s because giving the government this much power is hard to defend, not because a few justices had the temerity to suggest as much. But the President seems to be saying that you’re an activist if you’re not stretching the limits of the limited powers the Constitution gives to the federal government.”

“We can all disagree about the merits of a President’s policies,” he concluded. “But the American people should be able to expect that their President will defend the independence of the Court, not undermine it, safeguarding and strengthening our country’s institutions, not actively weakening them. The President crossed a dangerous line this week. And anyone who cares about liberty needs to call him out on it. The independence of the Court must be defended. Regardless of how the justices decide this case, they’re answerable, above all, to the Constitution they swore to uphold. The fact that this President does not appear to feel similarly constrained to respect their independence doesn’t change that one bit. So respectfully, I would suggest the President back off.”

New PPP Poll Released: Romney Now Leads Santorum by 5 Points in PA

Primaries are about momentum. Once it becomes inevitable, or nearly so, the voters begin lining up behind the winner. And that looks to be what is happening in Pennsylvania, Rick Santorum’s home state.

Mitt Romney now leads in Pennsylvania by 5 points – 42% to 37% according to a new PPP poll.

The only candidate with a path to victory now is Romney.

There are a lot of people who had hoped that Republicans could nominate a strong Conservative to defeat Barack Obama. And for those who see Romney as a Moderate, it is a bit of a let down.

But these people are now getting behind Mitt Romney because the bottom line is, we must defeat Barack Obama in November.

It is time for Rick Santorum, Newt Gingrich and Ron Paul to come to terms with reality. Romney is the nominee and it is time to stop beating one another up and turn to Barack Obama.

There is a lot of work to be done before the election and Republicans must begin the process of coming together behind the nominee.

Santorum has announced that he will be taking the next 4 days off. Let’s hope he decides to withdraw. That is the smart move at this point.

Obama Taking Heat for His Attempt to Intimidate the Supreme Court

President Obama continues to take criticism for his preemptive attack on the Supreme Court on Monday, when he claimed that if the justices found his health care law to be unconstitutional it “would be an unprecedented, extraordinary step of overturning a law that was passed by a strong majority of a democratically elected Congress.”

AFP writes today, “Barack Obama’s health care blast at the Supreme Court is provoking an inquisition into whether a law professor turned president unwisely trashed political and constitutional convention. Few court watchers can recall a recent precedent for Obama’s public warning Monday to the nine top justices in America that his legacy-boosting health reform legislation should stand. Presidents generally avoid comment on cases before the court, to avoid prejudicing proceedings and infecting the respected body with the polarized political stew swamping the rest of Washington.”

CBS News adds, “President Barack Obama has been running against Congress for a while, but as the Supreme Court weighs the constitutionality of his health care overhaul, recent comments appear to have put him at odds with the courts as well. . . . [Tuesday] was the second straight day the president gave his take on what the high court should do. On Monday, he seemed to suggest the court didn’t even have the power to strike down the law.”

Even the Washington Post editors were taken aback by Obama’s initial comments, writing, “President Obama’s comments Monday about the Supreme Court were jarring. If the court were to strike down the health-care law, Mr. Obama said, it would be a blatant example of judicial activism. That ‘an unelected group of people would somehow overturn a duly constituted and passed law,’ the president said, would be ‘an unprecedented, extraordinary step.’ Well, not exactly, and the comments strayed perilously close to a preemptive strike on the court’s legitimacy if it were to declare the individual mandate unconstitutional.”

The Wall Street Journal put it more bluntly in an editorial yesterday: “Mr. Obama’s remarks suggest he is joining others on the left in warning the Justices that they will pay a political price if they dare to overturn even part of the law.”

Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell took a dim view of President’ Obama’s warnings to the Court, saying yesterday, “Regardless of the Supreme Court’s decision on Obamacare’s unprecedented mandate on the American people, elected leaders have an obligation to protect our system of checks and balances. The President, more than anyone else, has an obligation to uphold the legitimacy of our judicial system. But his remarks on the Court reflect not only an attempt to influence the outcome, but a preview of Democrat attacks to come if they don’t get their way. Only someone who would browbeat the Court during the State of the Union, and whose administration stifled speech during the health care debate, would try to intimidate the Court while it’s deliberating one of the most consequential cases of our time.  This president’s attempt to intimidate the Supreme Court falls well beyond distasteful politics; it demonstrates a fundamental lack of respect for our system of checks and balances.”

Want one in your town? You can make it happen!

You Can Fool Some of the People…

National Billboard Campaign

‘Pick 5 * Convince 1

Richmond, VA – April 1, 2012   Got Fooled? The ‘Magic’ of 2008 has all but disappeared, and as Americans watch food and gas prices climb, many old believers are ready for a real change. With Presidential approval ratings below 50%, a stagnant economy and a monstrous amount of deficit spending, any reasonable individual would have a hard time believing President Obama will be re-elected.

April Fools’ Day 2012 seemed the appropriate moment to launch our National Banner Campaign, known as “Pick 5 * Convince 1” (Pick 5 people to discuss the issues and convince 1 to vote conservative.) RightMove has christened our new web site www.rightmove.us by installing a number of large banners on major Interstates and highways around the state of Virginia. These Banners will feature our “Got Fooled?” message and will help remind everyone on this classic holiday that Barack Obama will say anything to get your vote. Our banners will be seen by tens of thousands of people starting on April 1st, and will continue to be viewed until Election Day.

In order to combat the blatant propaganda promulgated by the mainstream media, RightMove has created a national billboard campaign supported by a true grassroots movement to help defeat Barack Obama in the 2012 elections. Billboards are a unique form of advertising that exposes the intended message to a broader range of audience. Our messages are simple but effective and will be installed on major interstates in all 50 states from August 29, 2012 (or sooner) until Election Day. With an average viewership of 75,000+ travelers per week, these messages will help remind America of the facts.

Through our online Web Portal,www.rightmove.us, individuals across the country and world can donate as little as $10 towards placing specific billboards in a variety of markets.

RightMove wants to make sure that America doesn’t get “Fooled” again!

Parents of Murdered British Students Criticise Barack Obama

For those who don’t believe Barack Obama is playing politics with Trayvon Martin, consider his reaction to a case where the killer was a 17 year old boy that may well have look like Obama’s son “if he had a son”.

There was nothing to gain politically for Obama in that case, so he ignored 3 letters from the parents of one of the murdered British students.

Obama’s selective outrage is simply not presidential.

The parents of two British students murdered in Florida have criticised President Barack Obama for his lack of compassion over their son’s deaths.

His failure to respond to three letters sent to the White House was because there was no “political value” and not worthy of a few minutes of his time.

They spoke out as teenager Shawn Tyson began a life sentence after being found guilty of the murder of James Cooper and James Kouzaris last April.

The 17 year old, who shot the men as they begged for their lives, will die in prison.

His conviction of first degree murder carries an mandatory life sentence without the chance of parole.

The powerfully built teen even looked bored as emotional DVD presentations about the dead men prepared by their grieving parents were shown in court.

Obama Budget: Not a Single Democrat Voted Yea! (Just Like Tim Kaine!)

How proud Barack Obama and his local Clone Timmy Kaine must feel this week!

First, the Supreme Court stands ready to abort his “Crowning Achievement” Obamacare and the Democrats are circling the spin wagons to declare that, somehow, a victory. Tim Kaine, as head Cheer-girl for the ObamaCare disaster has been trying to change the subject of late demanding tax hikes on oil companies so the price of gas will climb even higher.

Last night, the US House brought up Obama’s proposed budget that adds more crushing debt even faster than the President has already piled up the trillions!

And not a single Democrat voted in favor of it.

It is ironic that the first truly bi-partisan effort of the US House of Representatives was a complete repudiation of Barack Obama’s massive spending bill.

It went down 414 – 0.

Ironically, Obama’s BFF in Virginia Timmy Kaine knows exactly how that feels. He had a similar vote cast on his final budget before leaving office as the Republicans and Democrats in the Virginia General Assembly found unity of purpose in killing the Kaine budget.

It speaks volumes about these far left Liberals when even their own party does not like their ideas.

But, hey. Those job killers stick together. Thick as thieves, they are!
