After inheriting a surplus of $1.5 Billion when he became Governor of Virginia and squandering that nest egg into a $4.5 Billion Dollar Shortfall, Tim Kaine has proved that Tim Kaine-sian economics simply do not work. Note to the Kaine Supporters: Tossing out a drive-by budget that massively raised taxes on Virginians to fix his budget [...]

So, what is Timmy Boy Kaine up to these days? Well, after leaving his job as Virginia’s Governor and abandoning the state with largest budget shortfall in history, costing the Democrats any hope of winning much of anything in Virginia for a long while, Timmy was “promoted” to the position of Chairman of the Democratic [...]

It’s been interesting that in the course of this week, the one year anniversary of Democrats’ unpopular and expensive health care bill becoming law, we’ve seen supporters of the bill acknowledge some of its serious flaws. According to Politico, “Rep. Anthony Weiner [D-NY] said Wednesday he was looking into how a health law waiver [...]

From Virginia Lt. Governor Bill Bolling: When Governor McDonnell and I took office in January, we set two key goals for our first year in office: Getting Virginia’s economy moving again and creating jobs for Virginia’s families, and Eliminating the $4.2B budget shortfall we inherited and turning our budget shortfalls into surpluses again. This week [...]

From Virginia State Senator Ryan McDougle Editor’s Note: For those that have not had the pleasure of meeting Senator McDougle, he is one of the good guys. If you are going to bill yourself as a New Generation of Independent Leadership, you totally lose credibility when your donors are Unions, Gay Groups and the Democratic Party. With ties to Acorn and Congressman Bobby Scott, proponent of continued Acorn funding, as well as the SEIU, an arm of Acorn (ACORN’s co-founder, Wade Rathke, also founded SEIU), New Generation of Independent Leadership Tom Shields is not!

Virginia Democrats are simply wrong about the Commonwealth accepting the Obama unemployment stimulus money. Taking this money means Nancy Pelosi and President Obama get to rewrite Virginia Laws as part of the deal. The strings attached to the Obama and Pelosi money will require a massive increase in benefits, a major extension to the length of benefits, and employers will be forced to pay for unemployment benefits to part time workers. Accepting this money will force businesses to lay off workers because of increased Unemployment Taxes that will be required. It will kill jobs.

Democratic candidate for 73rd House District Tom Shields held a Town Hall meeting today at the J.S. Reynolds Parham Road campus. A good audience of around 40 people showed up for the 1:00 PM gathering. Professor Shields introduced himself to everyone before the meeting began and had everyone introduce themselves, which was a good way to turn a room full of strangers into a room full of not so strangers. There were folks from every walk of life, some lived in the district, some outside. Two representatives from Shields’ opponent’s office, Delegate John O’Bannon, sat quietly in the back listening. Shields was cordial in thanking them for being there.

Democratic Candidate Creigh Deeds is at it again. He is unable to find any issues on which to trump Republican candidate Bob McDonnell, so he is going back to the failed $125 million unemployment offer from Nancy Pelosi and Barack Obama.
What Deeds does not want you to know is that this $125 million offer comes on the condition that Pelosi and Obama get to rewrite Virginia unemployment laws. That’s right. These Socialists will get to write Virginia’s laws.
