There is no doubt that whoever coined the phrase “Fiscal Cliff” for the converging tax hikes and sequestration cuts is a fan of big government. And while most Republicans and Conservatives are loathe to cut a single dime out of Defense spending, and those on the left will never willingly cut the entitlement spending that [...]

Insanity is doing the same thing over again and expecting different results. And by that definition Republicans have suffered from insanity for the past two election cycles. Henrico, VA– George Allen issued the following statement on Washington’s debt ceiling deal: “After months of pushing our economy to the brink, Washington has yet again failed to deliver a long-term solution to our debt crisis. I suppose the term “honest politician” is, indeed, an oxymoron. Last Friday, we learned of a deal to reduce the 2011 budget by $38.5 Billion. While hardly the $100 Billion Conservatives were looking for, indeed expecting, and less than the $61 Billion we were told was a “pro rated” number based on the large chunk [...]

There is an interesting race in Colorado. The Senate primary is June 22 and it pits tea party insurgent Ken Buck versus Lt. Gov. Jane Norton. Normally Norton would be the prohibitive favorite but in the tea party year of 2010, it is Buck with a double digit lead. I am conflicted here a bit. [...]
