‘It’s disappointing and, I can assure you, highly frustrating to see what happens here in Washington: More spending and debt and kicking tough decisions down the road… Despite every warning sign imaginable, we have no solutions from this Administration or Democratic leadership in the Senate. The President punts on almost every tough decision.’ [...]

What are the priorities for Democrats these days? Looking at their public statements, lower gas prices for Americans certainly don’t seem to be among them. Politico reports, “The Energy Department isn’t working to lower gasoline prices directly, Secretary Steven Chu said Tuesday after a Republican lawmaker scolded him for his now-infamous 2008 comment that [...]

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) took to the floor Friday morning to blast the Democratic majority in the Senate for failing to propose a solution to the looming deficit crisis that could pass either house. “Democrats here in the Senate have offered no solutions that could pass either chamber, not one,” said McConnell. Five weeks into the oil rig disaster and the best President Obama can do is force his underlings to attempt to rewrite the events. The mandatory administration catch phrase “we were there from day one” is spewing from the mouths of Obama’s spokesmen and apologists faster than the oil in the gulf. Yet everyone knows that Obama was not there. And he’s still not there.

The following concerns a letter John Boehner (R-OH) sent to Nancy Pelosi calling for a Roll Call vote so each and every member will be required to give a yea or nay vote by voice.
Don’t think the Yea votes will not feature prominently in the November elections.
Cowards the the Democrats are, Pelosi will likely refuse.
Call the roll! Call the roll!

“Hello, I’m United States Senator Scott Brown from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
“When the people of my state elected me in January, they sent more than a senator to Washington – they sent a message. Across party lines, the voters told politicians in Washington to get its priorities right.
“And from my travels and conversation with people throughout this country, they told me that they want their President and Congress to focus on creating jobs and reviving America’s economy. Instead, for more than a year now, we have seen a bitter, destructive, and endless drive to completely transform America’s health care system.
“In January of last year, unemployment hit 7.2 percent and our economy was hurting badly. But, early in President Obama’s term, he and the Democratic leadership of Congress made takeover of health care their first priority.

The Honeymoon may well be over for President Obama. The traditional meaning of Honeymoon is one cycle of the moon – less than a month – where the newly wed couple drink mead, a fermented honey. It is supposed to increase their fertility.
The Obama Honeymoon has lasted quite a while. Far longer than his predecessor, President Bush. Much of the media still has the “tingling” sensation which Chris Matthews conveyed in a man crush moment at MSNBC.
While it is doubtful Obama has been consuming mead, many opine that his zombie like followers have been sloshing down copious amounts of Obama Kool-Aid. Many seem to have at least lowered the dosage of late. High unemployment, war still raging – even growing, the economy in shambles, and for the first time in recent memory the liberals in Massachusetts are close to moving towards the Republicans, most likely due to Health Care Reform and the way the Democrats have handled this much needed reform gone awry.

Lieutenant Governor Bill Bolling today sent a strongly worded letter to Senators Jim Webb and Mark Warner expressing outrage over special concessions given to certain states to obtain support for federal healthcare legislation from their Senators and asking them to oppose this legislation, which Bolling called “misguided.”
