Please bookmark Political Poll Check today and know what the polls are really telling us! These polls are using some pretty wild statistical samples [...]

Well, there they go again. Polls should measure public opinion, not attempt to sway it. What makes for a good poll these days? Well, the same as always. A good sample size, I prefer at least 1,000. And most importantly, a party makeup that realistically reflects the public at large. These days, I accept a [...]

As expected, former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney won the GOP straw poll today but Cong. Paul came in second. Romney had 35% and Paul 11%. No other candidate had double digits. I have blogged elsewhere that Romney will be out of the race due to his Obamacare type health plan in his home state and [...]

New American’s for New Leadership Ad for Sharon Angle. According to Dick Morris: If we get this ad on and get enough weight behind it, it will destroy Harry Reid. The ad has no heated rhetoric, no slanted adjectives. It just accurately describes Reid’s record and Angle’s positions. It lets words like “Stimulus Package” “TARP” [...]

In more good news for Tea Party followers and perhaps for Ron Paul Libertarians, Raul Labrador, the GOP nominee in the First Congressional District in Idaho is leading his Democrat opponent. Idahoreporter.com is reporting that Labrador leads Walt Minnick by double digits although 30% are still undecided: Idaho’s only local political polling agency, Greg Smith [...]

At a rally Friday, with 4 days to go until the election, Democrat Creigh Deeds said:
“Four days — four days, that’s all we’re asking. I know the polls don’t look good, but if I got discouraged every time, I’d probably be shoveling manure,” Deeds said.

A new poll just out proves my calculations on a post earlier today were correct when I posted the correctly weighted poll numbers and arrived at a McDonnell Lead of 54% to 33% for Deeds. At least the numbers for McDonnell were pretty close.

The McDonnell campaign has been very clear about the large lead in most polls. They don’t believe their lead is double digits. Public Policy Polling has some interesting and, I believe, highly partisan polls. The conclusions they reach in their explanations show their pro Democrat bias.

Democratic candidate for Governor Creigh Deeds has quite a dilemma. The polls are showing him down by large margins. Double digits, in fact. The latest Washington Post poll has Deeds down by 15 points! So, what exactly is the problem?
We are all keenly aware of his lack of any comprehensive plans for … well, anything at all. He mostly wants to wait until after he is elected to decide what to do.
