U.S. Senator John Cornyn Delivers Weekly Republican Address

A bit of a victory lap for the GOP. Senator Cornyn delivers the weekly Republican message concerning the week’s events in Washington. Best line from the video: Last year, on Christmas Eve, Senate Democrats passed a divisive 2.6 trillion dollar health care bill strictly along party lines. This year, God willing, Washington will give the [...]

Bush Tax Cuts Averted a Depression

We can now say that exhaustive studies and calculations have concluded and that without the Bush Tax Cuts, America would be in a depression. Unemployment would be far greater – perhaps as high as 20% – without the business stimulating Bush Tax Cuts on the employment creating sector of our economy, known in Obama circles [...]

Distinguishing Good Regulation From Bad

According to the liberals, Republicans are to blame for the economic problems America is facing because of deregulation. Because the markets were free to do pretty much as they pleased, the economy failed. So they waltz in to save us all from a free market by enacting rules and regulations to level the playing field [...]

Obama's Handiwork

Obama Leads the US into a Double Dip Recession

Retail sales dipped 1.2% last month. Take away the temporary Census jobs from last month’s employment numbers and the dismal picture appears.

The AWOL President golfs while the Gulf turns into a massive version of the La Brea Tar Pits. Both BP and the government are lying to us for different, yet similar reasons. BP wants to mitigate the financial damage to the company, and Obama seeks to mitigate damage to his political career. And the biased media is in a quandary. They know we are being lied to, but there is no way to crucify BP without spilling oil all over Obama. So they support the lies.

This is a point in American history where we needed a strong, experienced leader. Or even a leader of modest ability. Instead, the current occupant of the White House hides under his desk whenever the going gets tough.

When he is called out by his advisers, like Spike Lee, to do something, he always manages to come up with exactly the wrong response. Now he wants to know whose “ass to kick”, so he gathers a bunch of clueless career educators with no real world experience to point fingers.

Should We Halt All Offshore Drilling Until Republicans Take Over Again?

Barack Obama has been in office 504 days and oil has been spewing into the Gulf with no end in sight. Now a second oil platform has begun to leak.

This is what we call Trickle Down Incompetence. The lackadaisical and cavalier attitude Obama has taken with this spill is astonishing. His administration has failed to perform the required inspections of oil platforms, granted environmental waivers and taken an active role in causing this disaster. It may be decades before the Gulf of Mexico can recover.

Will DOW Drop Below 10K Today?

All signs are pointing to a big drop in the Stock Market today. Experts had expected a drop in the weekly unemployment filing figures by around 4,000. Instead, a large rise of 25,000 new claims sent futures down sharply as hopes for a recovery in progress dimmed.

Combined with a weakening Euro, which is sending fears of a double dip recession overseas, this could be a bad day on Wall Street.
