Henrico, VA– George Allen released the following statement regarding President Obama’s push for $1.5 trillion in higher taxes. “The American people should not be punished with a $1.5 trillion tax increase to pay for this Administration’s record-setting deficits and second round of stimulus spending. These are the same recycled tax hikes that President Obama has [...]

Apparently, Virginian’s have come to their senses. According to a new Quinnipiac University Poll 54% of Virginians disapprove of the job President Obama is doing. It is about time! With the economy getting worse and worse on a daily basis, how anyone could believe that Obama is not in so far over his head he [...]

This is the biggest swing I have seen in the daily Gallup poll. President Obama’s Approval dropped 4 points and his disapproval jumped 5 – in one day. He now stands at 45% Approve and 48% Disapprove. A good part of this drop has to be the economy. But more than that, this marks the [...]

When the mental list of prospective challengers to President Obama first began forming in my head, Mitt Romney landed at the #3 position. Unfortunately, there were no names to plug in at #1 or #2. After hearing Romney at CPAC 2011 this past February, the Mittster fell completely off my list Why the fall? Simple. [...]

We can now say that exhaustive studies and calculations have concluded and that without the Bush Tax Cuts, America would be in a depression. Unemployment would be far greater – perhaps as high as 20% – without the business stimulating Bush Tax Cuts on the employment creating sector of our economy, known in Obama circles [...]

First I want to thank the millions of voters, activists, candidates, bloggers, contributors and others who made it possible for my favorite Democrat, Rep. Heath Shuler, to run for Minority Leader and not Speaker! I had suggested a few days ago that it was reported that Shuler would run for Speaker but now he’ll have [...]

Think back a few years to the recession Ronald Reagan “inherited” from Jimmy Carter. The 1979 Oil Crisis caused a rapid rise in Oil prices as the Shaw of Iran was deposed and, soon after, Iraq invaded Iran. The instability in the Middle East sent oil prices skyrocketing, and the US Economy into a nosedive. [...]

Honestly, you Democrats MUST be tired of defending this guy. The mathematician in chief was in Richmond yesterday and made (yet again) some remarks that try to demonize and belittle Republican plans. Just wondering how smaller government and lower taxes stacks up against a powerful message like hope and change. Americans for Prosperity – as [...]

In his first 20 months President Obama has claimed to be focused on the following issues, items, opportunities, etc. . Here we go; Goals that are clear and achievable in Afghanistan (Gates, McChrystal, and Petraeus are focused; Obama rarely mentions it)* The economy (If he has been focused on it, I question his intentions for it) His energy goals (Given that his energy goals include skyrocketing electricity rates and $8.00/gallon gasoline we should celebrate his failure on this). Making the middle class more secure and the country more competitive so that the jobs and industries of the future were not outsourced to China and India (I’m not…

That would make it D-219, R-215. if this were an average election, which it is not. But don’t despair. The article later goes on to remind us that Bill Clinton, who had a 46% approval rating and was enjoying the prosperity of the dot com boom with a gangbuster economy at the time LOST 53 seats. Plus, this Congress enjoys an 11% approval rating and is rife with one corruption scandal after another and has the recent history of not only ignoring the will of the people, but taunting us as well. Obama enjoyed 62% approval among independents when he first took office. That number has slipped to just north of 38% , a stunning 24% drop, as the ill informed realize that they’ve been taken in by a confidence man through the fawning support of a biased media. A repeat of the 194 housecleaning would make it D-202, R-231. My gut tells me it may even be more dramatic than that, but I’ll take those

Rep. Rick Boucher is asking voters to believe he was acting in their best interest when he voted for the coal killing cap and trade bill. Boucher was chairman of the energy sub-committee of the previous Congress which first drafted the legislation, and was deemed to be instrumental in the bills development. Boucher opened his pre-vote remarks on the bill by saying that he was in “strong support of the bill.” [ The challenger Morgan Griffith, one of the most influential and efffective members of the Virginia General Assembly, opposes the Obama/Pelosi/Boucher “cap and trade” scheme. I bought a cool tool called a Fein MultiMaster , which is a very useful thing for a handyman type like me. That cost plenty and I ‘ve already used it with great success today. It cuts laterally, plus does a whole bunch of other great stuff. But for a whole lot less I also ordered some new bumperstickers from the interwebz on Zazzle.com. Do you suppose this will tick anybody off? I’d copy the photo, but zazzle is very protective of their stuff. Here’s what it says… That Obama sticker on your car might as well say, “Yes, I’m Stupid.” One of my favorite things to do these days is

The Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals upheld the ruling of a Federal Judge last month that the moratorium on offshore drilling imposed by Obama is illegal.
