After a couple of weeks of fighting the fact that several of the ranking sites have either been down or made changes to their site that I had to rewrite my data harvesting routines, everything is finally back on track. Last week, Compete made several changes and I was able to fix it, so the [...]

In light of the previous two posts, I urge people if they can to sign up for the Veteran’s Day Moneybomb for Ron Paul 2012! Here‘s the website! Ron Paul leads in military contributions in this election cycle (and led in the last one, too). Don’t rearrange the deck chairs: Vote and support Ron Paul! [...]

The Blog Rankings are out for 9/25/2011! While I have managed to gather the data the past couple of weeks, a number of obstacles have managed to make things a bit more difficult. As soon as we got our lights back on from the hurricane, it seems that it has been one thing after another. [...]

A fellow CPAC Blogger, Duane Lester of All American Blogger has an interesting poll that is a do-over of a 2008 poll. He asked anyone that was willing to post it so we can get a food number of responses. I personally HATE polls that pretend to want to know your opinion, but all they [...]

HOUSTON, TEXAS – The Contract from America Foundation announced today that U.S. Senate candidate George Allen (R-VA) has joined over 70 currently elected Senators and Congressmen nationwide by listening to the wishes of his constituents and signing the “Contract from America,” a Main Street, tea party-driven legislative blueprint for 2011 and beyond. He is the [...]

It is great news to hear that Cong. Ron Paul is running for President again. Steve Kornacki at Salon is excited about the prospect: The biggest winner may be political junkies, who will probably find the coming GOP presidential debates far more interesting with Paul in them, especially when the subject turns to foreign policy. I [...]

I have written earlier about the victorious effort of the Texas State Board of Education to restore the Founders’ intent and take leftwing myths out of history texts; I also have written briefly about Regent grad Cynthia Dunbar. Several of the board seats were up for election last November 2 and the results are cautiously [...]

Over the last year or so, in between the brush wars of the 2009-2010 election cycle, I have kept an eye on the actions taken by Senator Jim DeMint of South Carolina… and I have been impressed. What I have witnessed over this period is a that Jim DeMint is an unapologetic, dyed in the wool, Ronald Reagan conservative, even when its inconvenient. He has done whats right, even in the face of opposition from his own party. He has supported, through his Senate Conservative Fund , and personnel endorsements a host of CONSERVATIVE candidates for the US Senate, including, Marco Rubio…

Yesterday morning I received a phone call at work. On my cell phone. The callerID was blocked.
When I answered, the caller immediately identified herself by first name and said she was calling for the Republican Party, although she did not say State or National. But I believe this was the Republican National Committee.
She pretty quickly asked for a donation (and I would have been disappointed if she had not asked).

One of the more interesting characters to take center stage during the 2008 Presidential election was Tito “The Builder” Munoz. To refresh your memory of the passionate and irrepressible personality that is Tito “The Builder”, follow this Youtube Link to a Hannity and Colmes interview. This will tell you all you need to know.

The Progressive Liberals are desperately searching for a silver lining in yesterday’s batch of primaries and elections. The spinners are feigning delight at the “victory” of Joe Sestak, a liberal Progressive that only a Socialist can love. And it is hard to blame the Democrats for celebrating the loss of 30 year career politician Arlen Specter. No one trusts Specter at this point.

Things are looking pretty good for the GOP and pretty bleak for Democrats.
House Republicans could win 100 or more seats in this fall’s elections, House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) said Friday.
Boehner said he believes there is no seat that the GOP cannot win during this election cycle, judging by Sen. Scott Brown’s (R) improbable win in January’s special election in Massachusetts.

I was invited to a meeting of the Latino National Republican Coalition of Virginia that took place yesterday in Reston, Va. During the 2009 election cycle I was fortunate enough to become friends with Tito “The Builder” Munoz and his wife Deborah. If you don’t remember Tito, I have included a video of him appearing on Hannity and Colmes on the FoxNews Network at the end of this post. This interview is an all time classic. This couple worked tirelessly for the McDonnell campaign with an eye on reaching out to the Latino community. But they reached far more than the Latino community. While it is impossible to say exactly how many people were influenced by this “power couple” in 2009, I have no doubt that Bob McDonnell’s historic margin of victory included a large number of votes from the Latino community who trusted the judgment of Tito and Deborah enough to bring victory to Bob McDonnell and many other races on which they worked.

The ongoing struggle within the Republican Party between Liberal Republicans and Conservative Republicans has bubbled to the surface this election cycle.
Between the Tea Party activists, We Surround Them and various Patriot and other groups, Conservatives have banded together like never before. Some are Republicans, some former Republicans, Conservative Party members and Libertarians, and many have no party affiliation at all. Many are even Democrats. All are fiscal and social conservatives.

“I’m gonna tweet this” – there’s a line we’re hearing more and more frequently. Everyone is talking about Twitter. Cable news producers have decided to devote entire segments to it, corporate PR teams are all atwitter (couldn’t resist) to use it for ad campaigns, and athletes are being fined for using it to tell us how much their training camp food sucks. Even politicians (who are generally behind on this sort of thing) have caught on. Twitter has become the “it” tool for this election cycle. You may not be Chad Ochocinco or Congressman John Culberson, but you can tweet your way to fame in your own district.
