Last week, The Daily Caller reported, “President Barack Obama used the online springboard provided by Reddit to . . . call for a constitutional amendment to curb the free-speech of wealthier people and corporations. ‘I think we need to seriously consider mobilizing a constitutional amendment process to overturn Citizens United. … Even if the amendment process falls [...]

Since Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell gave a major speech last week on threats to the First Amendment and free speech coming from the Left, liberals have predictably attacked him for the suggestions. Among those targeting Leader McConnell are Fred Wertheimer, former DCCC chair Rep. Chris Van Hollen (D-MD), Daily Kos, Robert Reich, Ed Schultz and Norm Ornstein. In an interview with Commentary’s Alana Goodman yesterday, Leader [...]

If you want to hear a first hand reason of what is wrong with the schools in America, you need go no further than this video (which is really just the audio) of a North Carolina teacher who has just taught her class about the supposed “bullying” incident of a school aged Mitt Romney cutting [...]

On its Editorial Page Editor’s Blog, The New York Times complains, “Long before he became the Republican leader, Senator Mitch McConnell had built a career out of opposing limits to political fundraising and spending, supposedly in the name of free speech. . . . But Mr. McConnell has outdone himself with a legal brief submitted [...]

Meet Richmond’s Virginia’s Mayor Dwight Jones. After forcing the Richmond TEA Party to jump through hoops and pay through the nose to exercise their right to free speech, the mayor then decided that his ideology and youth spent in various protest endeavors was closely aligned with the Occupy Richmond group that was given permission and [...]

Here are the invoices (and there are probably more) of what the City of Richmond willingly paid, thanks to Mayor Jones, for toilets and cleanup for the Occupy Richmond “event” at Kanawha Plaza in downtown Richmond. I don’t blame the Occupy Richmond group. They made their own preparations and arrangements for sanitation and trash removal. [...]

In ConservativeHome today, we have the excellent essay from MP David Davis on today’s debate on prisoner voting. The facts of the cases that gave rise to this terrible decision are more appalling than I realized. The first case was brought by a convicted murderer and the second one was from a rapist. The result [...]

‘Taxpayers are still fuming over a health care process where their money was thrown around like a high roller in a hotel lobby to win last-minute votes, and now the same backroom dealing is being repeated with their freedom of speech’
WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell made the following statement Tuesday on Democrats’ efforts to carve out special deals for organizations in exchange for their support of the partisan DISCLOSE Act.

Perhaps the phrase “Sets DailyKOS Straight” is a bit of a stretch. These left wing whacks are so far out there that the word “straight” is not in their dictionary. But the left does have a special place in their little black hearts for Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli.

Bloomberg reports:
Jan. 22 (Bloomberg) — U.S. investors overwhelmingly see President Barack Obama as anti-business and question his ability to manage a financial crisis, according to a Bloomberg survey.
The global quarterly poll of investors and analysts who are Bloomberg subscribers finds that 77 percent of U.S. respondents believe Obama is too anti-business and four-out-of-five are only somewhat confident or not confident of his ability to handle a financial emergency.

At a fund raiser the other night for Virginia Democratic nominee for Governor, President Obama said “I Don’t Want the Folks Who Created the Mess to Do a Lot of Talking”. Since he blames the “mess” on Republicans, and not his own party, it is fair to say he wants to silence the right on [...]
