“April Fools’ Day” came early this year. Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell, a professed conservative Republican, together with the Republican-controlled House of Delegates, betrayed their loyal Republican constituents as “Fools of Deception.” In the waning hours of the legislative session they produced a transportation bill praised in the press by Democrats Tim Kaine and wannabe- governor [...]

Agenda 21 is Not Conservative — Will Representative Goodlatte Take Note? On January 14, 2012, the Republican National Committee unanimously voted to expose and condemn the United Nations Agenda 21. This may be a shock to many GOP incumbents in Congress who receive campaign donations, pre-drafted legislation, and “expert” advice from Agenda 21-inspired advocates of [...]

The Super Committee has failed. The Democrats one and only goal here is to make Republicans go for a tax increase. Again. And they plan to use this “compromise” to win in 2012. Again. So what do you do when the answer to the question “Are you better off now than you were four years [...]

When I was trying to convince fellow evangelicals to vote for Ron Paul in 2007-08, I was politely listened to but not endorsed. Admittedly a fine evangelical was int he race, Mike Huckabee, but it was Paul’s views on foreign policy (and the drug war, too) that was a stumbling block for many evangelicals. But [...]

The world now knows that Rep. Michele Bachmann won the Ames Straw Poll by less than 200 votes over Rep. Ron Paul (4823 to 4671 – it was less than one percent) and it is awful to lose. I hope this does not affect momentum (I was disappointed that former Senator Santorum was gloating over [...]

As reported here at THIS blog (based on RP forums): Wes Messamore, the Humble Libertarian, reported today that former Bush adviser, Doug Wead, has joined the RP 2012 campaign: Indicating that the Ron Paul campaign is bringing in the heavy political artillery to win the 2012 Republican nomination for U.S. President, former Special Assistant to [...]

David B. Rivkin, Jr. and Lee A. Casey are attorneys who worked in the Bush administration; when virtually all the legal academic articles came out in favor of US ratification of the International Criminal Court, Lee Casey wrote in the Fordham International Law Journal that the Constitution and an ancient Supreme Court case (Ex parte [...]

District Federal Judge rules the California gay marriage ban unconstitutional and oh yeah, according to the SF Chronicle he’s gay. “The biggest open secret in the landmark trial over same-sex marriage being heard in San Francisco is that the federal judge who will decide the case, Chief U.S. District Judge Vaughn Walker , is himself gay. Many gay politicians in San Francisco and lawyers who have had dealings with Walker say the 65-year-old jurist, appointed to the bench by President George H.W. Bush in 1989, has never taken pains to disguise – or advertise – his orientation.” http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2010/02/07/BACF1BT7ON.DTL#ixzz0vgGVMjy4 I guess one might argue that the judges sexual persuasion does not necessarily affect his impartiality but the fact that on two occasions higher courts have had to intervene in Judge Walker’s court proceedings to restrict him from giving an undue advantage to the plaintiff is at the very least curious. First by attempting to break federal court rules against televising hearings and then by trying to deny the defense their first amendment rights by trying…

And here are a few quotes from the opposition party after the President’s speech to school kids:
“The Department of Education should not be producing paid political advertising for the president, it should be helping us to produce smarter students. And the president should be doing more about education than saying, ‘Lights, camera, action.’”

While Creigh Deeds is stuck in the past talking about George Bush and some 20 year old school paper, Bob McDonnell is looking to the future. I really don’t want a Governor that is a carbon copy of our “Blame Bush First” President. We have real problems to solve. Transportation, Public Safety, Education. Important issues. [...]
