Over the last year or so, in between the brush wars of the 2009-2010 election cycle, I have kept an eye on the actions taken by Senator Jim DeMint of South Carolina… and I have been impressed. What I have witnessed over this period is a that Jim DeMint is an unapologetic, dyed in the wool, Ronald Reagan conservative, even when its inconvenient. What a move by the Republicans!

So, do we have freedom of choice or not? Democrats believe strongly in the Constitutional “right” for a woman to chose to have an abortion, but the mandatory requirement that everyone purchase health care really does not give us much of a choice about our health, now does it?
