During the House hearings designed to allow Congressmen to each have a photo-op on record of them taking potshots at top BP Executives for the Gulf drilling accident, Congressman Joe Barton (R-TX) seems to have missed the memo. Instead of blaming BP for the entire mess, spewing threats and issuing severe tongue lashings, (none of which will do a thing to stop the leak), Barton apologized to BP CEO Tony Hayward for the horrible treatment his firm was receiving from the US Government and especially for the shakedown BP received from the Chicago mob occupying the White House.
