Last Saturday, an 87 year old woman suffered a severe beating during a robbery in her home. Lois Rosson, the victim, was described by her son as frail and about 90 pounds. He said she will probably lose sight in her left eye as a result of the beating.
It is impossible to hear stories like this and not feel both anger at the perpetrator and profound sorrow for the victim.
