VIRGINIA RIGHT BLOG ENDORSES DELEGATE CHRIS PEACE for REELECTION!

I (Sandy) have known Del. Chris Peace for sometime.  In fact, even when I was not in his district, I was impressed with him very much. Delegate Peace has become a leader in the House of Delegates.  He had a regular column in the Times-Dispatch.  He is a movement conservative and generally votes right.  He [...]

This is from a special email from Tom DeWeese (Oh my the way, Tom is doing better according to that email!) and it points out three Virginians for special honor: The battle in the Virginia legislature was unlike any other I have ever witnessed. Tim Kaine – You Didn’t Build the Virginia City Power Plant! Take Down Your False Ad!

Tim Kaine has learned a lot from President Obama. Just like Obama is using the Navy Seals that killed Osama Bin Laden for his own political gain and wants credit for doing nothing more than convince Valerie Jarrett to let him order the raid on the Terrorist’s compound, it seems Tim Kaine now wants credit [...]

PolitiFact Ranks McDonnell Video Promise as Stalled. We Rank this a ‘Premature Evaluation’

This one is a bit curious.

PolitiFact, the Democrat’s pretend version of truth analysis has ranked a campaign promise by Governor Bob McDonnell as “Stalled” despite the fact that McDonnell is only midway through the 4 legislative sessions that will occur during his Governorship.

You would think there were more important things to “debunk” these days.

Nonetheless, PolitiFact decided to rank this promise that the McDonnell campaign indicated they would introduce as legislation by the 2013 session anyway.

The item has not been accomplished yet but neither is the time up.

PolitiFact Watcher ranks this one a Premature Evaluation.

Perhaps the writers over there should bone up on the effective date of the promise before they decide to evaluate anything like this again.

It’s a good think they are shooting blanks.

OBAMACARE: SEVEN NEW TAXES ON CITIZENS EARNING LESS THAN $250,000

While we were all debating the cost to our liberty due to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (Obamacare), we were ignoring the cost to our pockets.  If there ever was a reason for bipartisan rage about this law, it should be on the twenty – yes, twenty – hidden new taxes of this [...]

Why the Supreme Court ObamaCare Ruling is Proper

Like everyone else on the right, I detest this ruling and truly hoped that it had gone the other way. But in the back of my mind, when the government made the argument that the mandate was a tax, I thought that was something worth worrying about. Of course, the argument during the legislative process [...]

I think GOVERNOR McDONNELL is RIGHT on the SONOGRAM BILL!

I was prayerfully wondering what position for the Governor to take on the sonogram bill.  The Left is making distortions of a type that have incendiary potential, especially with those who get their information unfiltered from the MSM.  I came up with:  Take out the requirement that there be an invasive sonogram.  And that is [...]

Dissecting Virginia’s Election Law

As I have stated before, I am not an attorney. But I understand the significance of words used in legislation and the consideration placed on these words in a court of law. And the concept of “Legislative Intent” is often a major consideration in a hearing. So, in contemplating the words and intent of Virginia’s [...]

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) took to the floor Friday morning to blast the Democratic majority in the Senate for failing to propose a solution to the looming deficit crisis that could pass either house.   “Democrats here in the Senate have offered no solutions that could pass either chamber, not one,” said McConnell. If You Tax It They Will Leave

Hey Democrats. Particularly President Obama. Listen up and pay attention. In California, your Governor ‘Moonbeam’ Jerry Brown has just signed a tax hike that will require Advertising Affiliates in California to pay taxes on the sales, even though the actual seller is not located in California. Let’s go all the way to November 7, 2012 (that’s the DAY AFTER the election for the mathematically challenged). This is a bold [...]

Carter Defends His Place as The Worst President Ever

Jimmy Carter will appear on 60 Minutes tonight. Widely recognized as ”The Worst President Ever”, Carter is sensing that by passing the horrible Obamacare legislation, Barack Obama has now replaced him and taken this dubious dishonor. In an attempt to salvage his legacy, Jimmy will argue that had it not been for Teddy Kennedy killing it, his version of government controlled  Health Care would have become law during his term. Just think, had that happened, right now we would all be suffering with a system offering extended waiting lists and denial of medical services and treatments. The revenue required to fund it would have required economy destroying european style VAT taxes years ago.  Jimmy Carter’s legacy as “The Worst” would have been untouchable. “The fact is that we would have had comprehensive health care now, had it not been for Ted Kennedy’s deliberately blocking the legislation that I proposed,” he tells Stahl. “It was his fault. Ted Kennedy killed the bill,” says Carter. And Kennedy, who then ran against the president for the democratic presidential…

40 years ago The Beatles hit The Long and Winding Road to their final separation. Although the news was rather sad, we hoped the Lads from Liverpool would get back together, Yoko free, of course. And as the years passed, there was talk of reunions. Always talk. Alas, with the passing of John Lennon, a [...]
