What a historic weekend! The Virginia Republican Convention of 2013 is one for the history books! Four years ago, after suffering a most humiliating defeat in 2008 that saw Democrats grab both houses of Congress and the White House, Conservatives, the newly formed TEA Party groups and Patriot groups, Libertarians and anyone else who saw [...]

Bob “The Tax Governor” McDonnell has earned the nickname of Governor McTax for his massive $6 Billion incursion into the wallets and bank accounts of Virginians. As Tim Kaine left office, he tossed out a $2 Billion tax hike budget that even Democrats refused to vote for. And in less than four years under Governor [...]

Ok, I’ve got a solution for this group of folks here in Hanover that are oddly enough, begging to have their taxes raised. Begging to have them raised on a multitude of things from proffers to real estate to personal property to a meal tax of all things. My solution would be to start by [...]

President Obama and the Democrats have been spreading falsehoods about supposed Oil “subsidies”. The truth is, Bog Oil Companies do not receive subsidies. A subsidy is a government payment, usually for doing nothing. Like welfare or payments not to grow crops. Oil companies simply get tax deductions like every other business. Not subsidies. Only in [...]

State Senator Tom Davis, prominent conservative and former chief of staff for Governor Rick Sanford, endorsed Ron Paul today! How important is it? Ask Rick Santorum: “To get an endorsement from someone like Tom Davis is a big deal,” said former U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum, who announced a White House bid in June. “It would [...]

Slovakia is the “other” and poorer half of the former Czechoslovakia. The nation became independent through the peaceful efforts of both the Czechs and the Slovaks to do what the majority of the Slovaks wanted: Independence. (A. Lincoln, call your office!) But it was not until the late 90s that it’s economic situation began to [...]

When Esquire magazine has you as a profile, you have arrived. When the title is: Ron Paul: The Founding Father, you know the campaign is serious. Paul is a mainstream candidate now. The Tea Party saw to that. Maybe the election of President Obama, as bad as it is, was what was necessary to show [...]

Ray Griggs’s documentary “I Want Your Money” is worth seeing. Here is the website. It does not pretend to be entertainment but the history of big government in the United States since Roosevelt and how lower taxes and less government spending is best for America is a necessary lesson for all to hear. Griggs pays [...]

One of the most amazing events that occurred during the Virginia Tea Party Patriots Convention over the weekend went unnoticed in the Mainstream Media, yet it’s significance cannot be understated. One of the singularly most important political events in the Political Blogosphere since 1933 when the 21st Amendment was ratified, restoring the free flow of [...]

With over 400 organizations supporting the left wing Glen Beck Rally wannabe’s, each organization managed only a few dozen people on average. Many were paid union members, or others on the clock. Perhaps 10% of the crowd was there because they willingly attended. If you visit the rally’s website, or look at the pictures floating [...]

Honestly, you Democrats MUST be tired of defending this guy. The mathematician in chief was in Richmond yesterday and made (yet again) some remarks that try to demonize and belittle Republican plans. Just wondering how smaller government and lower taxes stacks up against a powerful message like hope and change. Americans for Prosperity – as [...]

Trying to find an answer to the Tea Party phenomenon must really be a nightmare for Barack Obama and the Democrats. Every time they attack the Tea Party, the movement grows by leaps and bounds. They have found that attempting to brand the majority of Americans as extremists is not a smart tactic. But they [...]

In one of the most jaw dropping moments in Fox News history, Sean Hannity and Karl Rove had what can only be described as a bizarre exchange. Hannity has always looked up to Rove and his admired his insight and knowledge of all things political. Not quite the tingling leg syndrome, but close. But when [...]

The desperation is not unexpected, not even surprising. As Democrats are on the verge of losing the House and possibly the Senate, they are turning to desperate tactics to help salvage their majority. Continuing with their laughable theory that Republicans are secretly “running” the Tea Party, Tim Kaine’s DNC is now asking the party faithful [...]

I was challenged in a comment to my prior posting about Sharron Angle being a Ron Paul libertarian. Let’s examine the facts: Try this from her preamble: The rule of law is America’s foundation. The oath of office, to protect and defend the constitution, is a sacred trust. Sharron Angle honors both the law and [...]

The left is incapable of understanding the Tea Party Movement. As are many of the status quo Republicans.
But protests are so last year.
Still, most in the Mainstream Media insist the gatherings are protesting something. They advocate lower taxes, so that must be it. Others assume it is some racist protest against President Obama.

Those crazy, red neck, white, male violent Tea Party people are WOMEN! Perhaps if the left wingers would actually GO to a Tea Party protest they would know that.
Those who say the tea party movement consists mostly of angry white men will have to recast their stereotyping in at least one regard — 55 percent of them are women, according to a recent Quinnipiac University poll.
