http://www.youtube.com/gopweeklyaddress ‘Now, it is true that my blueprint does not rely on new mandates or new regulations to achieve these goals. And it doesn’t drive up taxes or energy prices. It doesn’t limit choice or lavish subsidies. Now, there are some who continue to believe that those options represent the best or perhaps the [...]

Four years ago the Republican Party entered a self imposed funk. Much like they are in now. So we didn’t knock off an incumbent president. That’s a shame. A crying shame. But the time for crying is over. Now it’s time to buck up and assess where we are. It seems pretty dark, but we are a [...]

As a Virginian, I love Williamsburg. I live about an hour away and own a business in historic Yorktown, Va about 15 minutes away from the site where President Obama is preparing for tomorrow night’s debate. Colonial Williamsburg is one of the finest examples of how life was in America under the rule of a [...]

Businesses are afraid to invest, afraid to hire and afraid to expand. The ones that have survived have “downsized” to the point that they are profitable. Could they grow? Hire more people? Perhaps. In some cases, absolutely. But they don’t. Because they are afraid. Between the EPA attacks, union attacks, and threats to soak anyone [...]

Do you remember the debate where Texas Governor Rick Perry accused Mitt Romney of removing a passage from his book stating that Romney thought that RomneyCare should be a model for the nation? It went like this: PERRY: “Well, I’m listening to you, Mitt, and I’m hearing you say all the right things. But I [...]

President Obama’s speech last night was unremarkable and predictable. The only thing new was the number of times he used the phrase balanced approach. In fact, he used the phrase 8 times! Apparently, this phrase polls well among the masses. But attempting to disguise his more of the same spending spree as balanced is the [...]

It’s been interesting that in the course of this week, the one year anniversary of Democrats’ unpopular and expensive health care bill becoming law, we’ve seen supporters of the bill acknowledge some of its serious flaws. According to Politico, “Rep. Anthony Weiner [D-NY] said Wednesday he was looking into how a health law waiver [...]

Earlier this month when the disappointing August unemployment numbers were released, President Obama said, “[O]ne thing we also have to do right now –- one thing we have a responsibility to do right now –- is to lift up our small businesses, which accounted for over 60 percent of job losses in the final months [...]

It really is too bad they don’t make a little blue pill for leadership. Barack Obama surely needs one. Like we were saying before the election that put this dunderhead in office, he has no executive experience. Now, the world understands exactly what that means. This president has absolutely no idea how to handle a crisis. Any crisis.

President Obama took Air Force One, at taxpayer’s expense, to Miami for a Democratic Party Fundraiser and said that the Tea Party folks ought to be thanking him.
I agree wholeheartedly.
If it were not for the sudden and overt acceleration of our indebtedness to foreign countries by the Obama Administration, we might have continued in our apathy allowing the stealthy destruction of America’s finances to continue as it has for decades.
If it were not for the massive and unprecedented power grab by the Obama Administration in snatching up banks, student loans, health care, the auto industry and just about everything in sight, we may not have thought about how large the government had grown while we were not paying attention.

“Hello. I’m Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky. Earlier this week, the President signed a massive health spending bill that’s been described as historic. Well, Democrats in Washington may measure history by how expensive and intrusive the bill is. But, most people outside Washington see things differently.
“In one of the most divisive legislative debates in modern history, Democrats decided to go the partisan route and blatantly ignore the will of the people. Americans opposed this legislation, and, now they’re clamoring to see it repealed and replaced.

Are today’s Cadillac Plans better than others? Possibly. But a lot of things go into determining costs, and the fact is, a higher priced plan in New York City may cover less than a cheaper plan in Birmingham.
Since there is no interstate competition, there is no standardized pricing structure.

It is no secret that we have a system in place in this country that places Political Correctness above logic, sanity and safety. Recent events have only magnified this serious lapse in judgment.
We live in a time where militants are using the religion of Islam for evil. Yet we are ordered to ignore those that would harm us so we don’t offend Muslims. This is sheer lunacy and has caused many deaths already.
