This photo of the word “ROMNEY” written on a New Jersey beach submitted by Twitchy gave me the hook to talk about something I think could happen Tuesday, and it would be a shocker: New Jersey goes for Mitt Romney! Maybe Connecticut, too. And it’s all Sandy’s fault (That’s Sandy the Super Storm not Sandy [...]

Comparing this post debate poll from WaPo / ABC to the last one they did before the debate 15 days ago, there are some things that jump out at you. The earlier poll sampled 3% more Democrats than Republicans (33% D’s, 30% R’s) a +3 lean towards Democrats and the latest poll samples 9% more Democrats [...]

It had looked like the race in Senate District 17 was close, but incumbent Edd Houck (D) had pulled it out, giving the Democrats continued control of the Senate, but a late adjustment shows Republican opponent Bryce Reeves in the lead 22,536 votes to 22,450 giving the Republican a margin of victory of 86 votes [...]

Between an earthquake and waiting for a hurricane to arrive, Virginia held a primary election to determine the makeup of the field of candidates for the November 8, 2011 elections. These were mostly Virginia State Senate races, though there were some other contests. The Republicans are hoping to gain control of the Virginia Senate this [...]

In one of the most exciting races to follow on election night in my personal history, with more lead changes than some NASCAR races, the votes appear to be in now in the 22nd Senate District and it appears Louisa Commonwealth’s Attorney Tom Garrett is the winner with just under 26% of the vote! For [...]

When did the “In The Tank” Media switch the statistical calculations to Jobs Created or Saved? Obviously, about one year ago. But is that a fair assessment of what is really going on with employment?

I was invited to a meeting of the Latino National Republican Coalition of Virginia that took place yesterday in Reston, Va. During the 2009 election cycle I was fortunate enough to become friends with Tito “The Builder” Munoz and his wife Deborah. If you don’t remember Tito, I have included a video of him appearing on Hannity and Colmes on the FoxNews Network at the end of this post. This interview is an all time classic. This couple worked tirelessly for the McDonnell campaign with an eye on reaching out to the Latino community. But they reached far more than the Latino community. While it is impossible to say exactly how many people were influenced by this “power couple” in 2009, I have no doubt that Bob McDonnell’s historic margin of victory included a large number of votes from the Latino community who trusted the judgment of Tito and Deborah enough to bring victory to Bob McDonnell and many other races on which they worked.

It seems that a number of Republicans are welcoming the news that Representative Parker Griffith has become a Republican. This could just be the beginning of a trend. One that should bring pause to the Republican Party. While Griffith is likely more towards the Conservative side than Dede Scozzafava, the fact is, he is was [...]
