The scandal involving IRS discrimination against conservative groups is growing. In one case LifeNews has profiled, a pro-life group was told it had to promote abortion. Now, the Thomas More Society is speaking out about blatant bias by the supposedly apolitical tax-collection agency. The pro-life legal group informed LifeNews today that cases it handled support [...]

Over the weekend, liberal columnist Frank Rich wrote a long piece for New York Magazine, calling on President Obama to implement more policies that could make the economy worse: more taxes and ever more government spending. Unfortunately, Rich may not have to worry, since Democrats seem determined to push more of these failed policies on [...]

As President Obama finally engaged in talks about addressing this country’s massive debt and deficits in connection with the White House’s request to raise the debt ceiling, Democrats seemed to double down on their insistence on tax hikes. As CNN Money put it in a headline this morning, “Debt ceiling talks turn to taxes – [...]

Previewing the competing budget votes coming up in the Senate, Republican Leader Mitch McConnell said on the floor today, “Sometime today or tomorrow, Senate Democrats will have an opportunity to show what kind of future they believe in. They can vote for one of the Republican plans to get our nation’s finances under control, each [...]

As The Hill reports today, the Senate is scheduled to vote tonight on Democrats’ bill (S. 940) to raise taxes on American energy producers, which many Democrats admit will do nothing to lower the high gas prices Americans are struggling with each day. Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY), a member of Democrat Senate leadership, admitted [...]

There is an excellent article in Investors.Com about the sorry state of business affairs Obama has led this country into. People are asking, “Is the government doing us more harm than good? Should we change what it does and the way it does it?” Now, this was a question asked during the Administration of former [...]

In an editorial, The Wall Street Journal writes today, “Among Donald Berwick’s greatest rhetorical hits is this one: ‘any health-care funding plan that is just, equitable, civilized and humane must—must—redistribute wealth from the richer among us to the poorer and less fortunate.’ Count that as one more reason that President Obama made Dr. Berwick a [...]

The Wall Street Journal editorializes today, “White House respect for the public’s health-care views dropped another notch yesterday, if that’s possible, with its recess appointment of Donald Berwick. Another day, another promise from Democrats about their unpopular health care bill is exposed as mere rhetoric as reality shows the opposite to be true.
Throughout the health care debate last year, Americans were assured by President Obama and Democrats that their health care plans would lower health care costs and reduce government spending on health care. In his September address to a joint session of Congress, Obama said his plan “will slow the growth of health care costs for our families, our businesses, and our government.” In December, Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus (D-MT) warned that “without reform, health care expenditures will increase.” Obama said again in March this year, “[M]y proposal would bring down the cost of health care for … the federal government.” Later that month, some House Democrats based their vote for the bill on assurances the bill would lower health care costs. And when Republicans tried to point out that the Democrats’ plans would do none of these things, Baucus had a typical response: “Mr. President, the Republican Leader just a few moments ago says that this bill raises costs. With all due respect to my good friend from Kentucky, that statement is false.”

In a move the Democrats are clucking about as if they just laid an egg, pharmaceutical companies agreed to “spend” $80 billion dollars over the next 10 years to improve the drug benefit for seniors.
The moron behind this is Sen. Max Baucus, D-Mont. He believes he has found a way to help President Obama’s plan to nationalize health care without increasing the deficit or raising taxes.
