MUSINGS from the VIRGINIA GOP CONVENTION!

I am back from the GOP state convention.  A few thoughts (just mine): Governor McDonnell had an excellent video to speak to the convention (The Governor is apparently in Europe on a trade mission); well put together. Bishop E. W. Jackson gave a stirring speech to endorse George Allen as the winner of the US [...]

UN SPECIAL ENVOY says GIVE LAND BACK to ORIGINAL AMERICANS! WHY DID WE LET HIM IN IN THE FIRST PLACE?

I am surprised I still have blood left in my veins as opposed to it boiling away between the attack on Serbia and this: A United Nations investigator probing discrimination against Native Americans has called on the US government to return some of the land stolen from Indian tribes as a step toward combatting continuing [...]

Obama Shamefully Uses Veterans as Pawns on Veteran’s Day

President Obama, as most president’s are expected to do, had a ceremony honoring America’s Military Veteran’s for Veteran’s Day on Monday. (I am not sure why he chose Monday November 7, 2011 as Veteran’s Day is actually on November 11, 2011. Perhaps he was busy that day.) It is a known fact that many on [...]

If Virginians needed a reminder of what a schmuck Tim Kaine is, they need look no further than his most recent fundraising letter. CNN: “TYRANNY OF 87 MUST STOP”; WHAT ABOUT OBAMACARE THEN? WHERE WAS LIBERAL OUTRAGE THEN!

This column in CNN by Maria Cardona made by blood boil.  This writer eloquently describes the 87 members of Congress in the Tea Party Caucus as the “Tyranny 0f 87″ and in these terms: The tyranny is coming from the 87 members of Congress from the tea party caucus, whose selfish and irresponsible demands during [...]

VICTORY! HOUSE DEFUNDS THE ILLEGAL WAR IN LIBYA!

In a rare victory for non-intervention, the House of Representatives voted in effect to defund the Libya war!  (thanks to Freedom’s Phoenix and antiwar.com) Introduced by a Democrat from California (a certain blogger might have to lay down for a few minutes!), Brad Sherman, who argued: Why is this amendment necessary? Because so many administrations have [...]

RON PAUL SHOULD STILL RUN WITH GARY JOHNSON IN 2012!

I am pleased to see former New Mexico Governor Gary Johnson announce for President.  I believe the liberty message is served by having more than one messenger.  Even unannounced but serious candidate Rep. Michele Bachmann has some Ron Paul characteristics – she was one of the first members of Congress to embrace Paul and his [...]

The Path to Prosperity: Republican Budget Unveiled

The Path to Prosperity It is tempting to begin with an old cliche’ opening line like “It was the best of budgets, it was the worst of budgets,” but looking at the graphs to the left (click for a larger view), that would be an understatement. House Speaker John Boehner, Majority Leader Eric Cantor and [...]

Rangel Walks Away From Corruption Unscathed

So, the completely corrupt and clueless Democratic Congressman from New York, Charlie Rangel was censured yesterday by his Congressional peers, all of whom pretend censure was… a punishment of immense proportion. “Only a couple in the last 100 years,” and “a rare vote to censure a sitting member of Congress” were the buzz phrases in [...]

“It’s time to start talking about Socialism”

Went a wandering tonight, uncontent with the topics that have already been covered by the usual outlets, most notably by the premiere political philosophy and gossip site in the Universe, Disrupt The Narrative . That may be an overstatement.  Or simply prophetic.  LOL. I thought it might be fun to drop in on the Democratic Socialists of America’s video channel, since World Net Daily is suggesting that we have over 70 members of Congress  that are members.  I’m a little leery of World Net Daily, but after watching a little of this video they may be on to something.  What the DSA is saying doesn’t veer very far from the script coming from the White House or Capitol Hill, so the similarities are not coincidental.  I couldn’t isolate a particular video clip like you can on many video sites, but this is the first video you’ll hit. David Schweikart, is a professor at Loyola University and is/was a member of Progressives for Obama , and whose daughter works for one of the big hedge funds in…wait for it….Chicago.  He rails about his…
