Yes, it sounds like an American election (Virginia has a Isle of Wight County!) but it is the BBC’s report: UKIP is a factor in Hampshire and Isle of Wight. The most startling factor while looking at the candidates standing in Hampshire is finding the rise of the UK Independence Party (UKIP). When the last [...]

Both the Weekly Standard (which I do not fully trust) and the Wall Street Journal (which I trust more) have called for a biometric ID card for ALL US workers to prove they have legal status. Here’s the Weekly Standard’s quoting the WSJ: The Journal writes that “at least five of the eight senators writing [...]

I am ready to take my stand on economic sanctions. Unless they are necessary and specifically targeted to affect the group or persons whose behavior who we seek to change, they are immoral. Here’s an article in the New York Times on the sanctions against Iran. I was chilled by this quote: Obama administration officials [...]

After making a really stupid statement and subsequently issuing an apology, Todd Akin took a pretty big hit in the polls. It seems that he has now started to recover and has regained the lead 45-41. The poll is here. For Pro-Lifers this is a good thing.

It would be a really great idea if we could get an idea of what people thought and various leanings and the feelings of various groups of citizens. And it would also be wonderful if we had a way to tell if politicians were lying, being truthful or spinning a “fact” to make it seem [...]

Primaries are about momentum. Once it becomes inevitable, or nearly so, the voters begin lining up behind the winner. And that looks to be what is happening in Pennsylvania, Rick Santorum’s home state. Mitt Romney now leads in Pennsylvania by 5 points – 42% to 37% according to a new PPP poll. The only candidate [...]

You gotta love those Liberals at Public Policy Polling. They do their best to spin the numbers and influence public opinion with their polls. Many media outlets simply report the results without even bothering to let you know that the good folks at PPP are Democratic Pollsters. That doesn’t mean that the polls are not [...]

A fellow CPAC Blogger, Duane Lester of All American Blogger has an interesting poll that is a do-over of a 2008 poll. He asked anyone that was willing to post it so we can get a food number of responses. I personally HATE polls that pretend to want to know your opinion, but all they [...]

Forty-nine percent (49%) of respondents say they would vote for their district’s Republican congressional candidate, while 40% would opt for his or her Democratic opponent. Even more [...]

The Pew Forum on Religion and Politics released a poll on Religion, Politics and the President revealing that a substantial and growing number of Americans say that Barack Obama is a Muslim, while the proportion saying he is a Christian has declined and that most do not know what religion he follows. This must not sit well with the journ-O-list types. Look at how he editorialized in this excerpt of supposedly straight reporting in an AP story . Americans increasingly are convinced – incorrectly – that President Barack Obama is a Muslim, and a growing number are thoroughly confused about his religion. In other words those who believe Obama to be a Muslim are wrong and those who are unsure about the presidents religious beliefs are dim-witted idiots wandering through life in a dazed stupor. Mr. Fram then goes on to insinuate that the poll is skewed by a political bias identifying the …

Public Policy Polling ran a poll on 2012 preferences (Thanks to the Humble Libertarian for the original article). It’s mostly bad news for the GOP. No one beats Obama in a two person race.
