Today is voting day throughout the Commonwealth. Exciting day for me. I remember primary day well in 1989. I did not have a professional campaign manager nor did I have conservative groups behind me. (Could have used both of those things! Kinda like that old adage: I could have had ham and eggs if I [...]

Both the Weekly Standard (which I do not fully trust) and the Wall Street Journal (which I trust more) have called for a biometric ID card for ALL US workers to prove they have legal status. Here’s the Weekly Standard’s quoting the WSJ: The Journal writes that “at least five of the eight senators writing [...]

A lot of the pundits are looking at the polls and the race in general and comparing it to past presidential races. I created a computer program to tell us what the results would have been if the polling ratios in this year’s polls were applied to historic models of past presidential elections. The results are interesting. [...]

This photo of the word “ROMNEY” written on a New Jersey beach submitted by Twitchy gave me the hook to talk about something I think could happen Tuesday, and it would be a shocker: New Jersey goes for Mitt Romney! Maybe Connecticut, too. And it’s all Sandy’s fault (That’s Sandy the Super Storm not Sandy [...]

I have been watching the polls with a keen interest of late. As I look into the Cross Tabs and Demographics of the numerous polls that seem to favor Obama, what I find is that the polls sample Democrats at a much higher rate than is reasonably believable. Real Clear Politics is supposed to be [...]

There they go again. Another day another skewed poll. But the good news is that after “Normalization” to correct the Democratic leaning of the poll Republican Mitt Romney actually has a 3 point lead, not a 6 point Obama advantage as the poll pretends to show. The complete analysis of this Bloomberg Poll is here. [...]

UPDATE: This is a good poll. I just received the cross-tabs from Gravis Marketing and the sample was 39% Democrats, 36% Republicans and 23% Other (Independents.) My only criticism is that there were too many Republicans and Democrats and too few Independents. But since the sample polled 3% more Democrats than Republicans and the relatively [...]
