This article has a calculator to determine what the vote percentage in a British General Election would be required for UKIP to win the General Election in 2015. I found this analysis to be useful as to what happens in the vote. Here’s part of the conclusion: Electoral Calculus said that Ukip would win enough [...]

As expected, the German Constitutional Court largely upheld the plan by Chancellor Merkel to have a permanent bailout fund (funded largely by Germany whose people have not approved this in any sort of referendum) to step in any future Greece situations. The Federal Constitutional Court in Karlsruhe dismissed motions that sought to block the European [...]

This is a remarkable story: Major suburban county in Virginia pulls out of its association of counties! Here’s the story from Real Clear Politics! The Goochland County Board of Supervisor (sic) is withdrawing from a state association that supports counties and lobbies on their behalf, saying some of the group’s legislative positions do not reflect [...]

I am well aware that several days ago, UK PM David Cameron vetoed the increase in power/loss of sovereignty fiscal provisions proposed for the EU. This proposal was nothing short of turning the sovereign nations of the EU into states. It proves my “Tweedledee/Tweedledum” theory of most of the major European political parties. I have [...]

The Greek people have been sold out again. No referendum. Both major parties are Tweedledee and Tweedledum – all for EU and its elites. What Greece needs is a euroskeptic, non-racist, libertarian political party to organize peaceful protest and field candidates to take back their nation and give the Greek people a real choice. I’ll [...]

The Prime Minister is trying to offer an olive branch on the EU by exchanging a vote to strengthen the euro for limited sovereign powers: The Prime Minister is to demand more British control over employment and social laws in return for supporting a new European treaty to shore up the single currency. This from the Daily Caller: Vice President Joe Biden told Florida radio station WLRN on Thursday that voters should hold President Barack Obama, not former President George W. Bush, accountable for the poor state of America’s economy. Conservative PAC American Crossroads circulated the startling statement Thursday afternoon, expecting it will take Democratic campaign strategists by surprise. [...]

The Daily Mail reports that Tory euroskeptics, rebuffed by their PM, are considering trying to form a Conservative-Labour alliance against further European integration (read loss of UK sovereignty): Tory MPs are plotting to join forces with Labour Eurosceptics to try to force David Cameron to take a harder line on the EU. The Prime Minister [...]

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell says he’ll push to repeal the health care overhaul passed by congressional Democrats, and if that fails he’ll try to undo the law “piece by piece.” McConnell will lead a larger Republican minority when the next Congress convenes. Daniel Hannan, Conservative member of the European Parliament is in jeopardy of losing his seat in the E.U. body that imposes European rules on Britain. The danger is not due to an election loss. Hannan is quite popular. But the Brits are increasingly unhappy with the E.U.’s actions of late. Or in actions as the case may be.
