Actually, it is a 20 – 20 tie, but our Republican Lt. Governor will cast the tie votes, which means that the Senate is in Republican hands and the Democrats stone wall has been torn down. Decent legislation can now be sent to the Governor for his signature. There was an error in the totals [...]

This was a total victory for the Republican Party in Hanover County. Hanover is a solidly Republican county and removed every vestige of blue from the area. Sheriff, Commonwealth’s Attorney, Treasurer, Commissioner of Revenue and all 7 seats on the Board of Supervisors are now in Republican hands. Two incumbents on the board were Independents, [...]

It seems the media is making hay with the lower than previous year’s attendance at last night’s Tax Day Rally put on by the Richmond TEA Party. Here are the facts. First, last night’s rally saw between 1,100 and 1,500 people attend the event. The attendance was off from the previous two years, that is [...]

This is not a prediction nor have I lost my mind completely. This post simply answers the question: What is the best case scenario for Republicans in the Senate in November? Or conversely, how bad could it get for Democrats in the Senate? As of today, August 22, 2010 Republicans could pick up a maximum [...]

Former Richmond Mayor turned Virginia Governor and now Democratic National Committee Chairman Tim Kaine still does not understand the conservative trend happening in America.
After a resounding thumping in the Gubernatorial elections in Virginia last year, most people in his position would have seen the writing on the wall. Not Tim Kaine. Governor Bob McDonnell ran one of the most Conservative campaigns in a long time. The Democratic Party tried to use his Conservatism to paint McDonnell as a far right wing radical. The Democrats attempted to portray Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli as an even more radical right winger. Both won by large margins.

Nancy Pelosi is so bound and determined to pass a Health Care Reform bill that she will do literally anything to cram it down America’s throat.
And just when you think you have heard it all, she has now decided to simply claim the bill passed without a vote.
America has spoken in no uncertain terms. The Teddy Kennedy seat is now in Republican hands.
Democrats are on the verge of shredding the US Constitution and rule of law. A minority of Democrats are about to flim flam the American public in the most blatant abuse of elected office in history.
Watergate pales in comparison to the atrocity that is about to happen.

We all want to be sure our candidates “fit” the mold that we, as Conservatives, put in place. Much has been written on Dede Scozzafava, the NY-23 RINO that pretended to be a Republican. But is a litmus test a good idea to avoid this?
On the surface, it sounds good. But it should surprise no one that people will say anything to get elected, then forget the promises they made in the heat of the election. (President Obama ring a bell?)
