Insanity is doing the same thing over again and expecting different results. And by that definition Republicans have suffered from insanity for the past two election cycles. John McCain was a horribly liberal candidate and Barack Obama handed him his head on a platter by being the bold colors to McCain’s pastel shades of Liberalism. [...]

A lot of the pundits are looking at the polls and the race in general and comparing it to past presidential races. I created a computer program to tell us what the results would have been if the polling ratios in this year’s polls were applied to historic models of past presidential elections. The results are interesting. [...]

There they go again. Another day another skewed poll. But the good news is that after “Normalization” to correct the Democratic leaning of the poll Republican Mitt Romney actually has a 3 point lead, not a 6 point Obama advantage as the poll pretends to show. The complete analysis of this Bloomberg Poll is here. [...]

UPDATE: This is a good poll. I just received the cross-tabs from Gravis Marketing and the sample was 39% Democrats, 36% Republicans and 23% Other (Independents.) My only criticism is that there were too many Republicans and Democrats and too few Independents. But since the sample polled 3% more Democrats than Republicans and the relatively [...]

While Senator DeMint is seeking help to fight the CRPD, the Trojan horse to bring radical law to the US while undermining our sovereignty, his colleague, Senator Lindsey Graham, is undecided: Sen. Lindsey Graham, a Seneca, S.C., Republican and close ally of McCain, hasn’t taken a position on the accord, which is backed by several [...]

It would be a really great idea if we could get an idea of what people thought and various leanings and the feelings of various groups of citizens. And it would also be wonderful if we had a way to tell if politicians were lying, being truthful or spinning a “fact” to make it seem [...]

Article III Section II of the US Constitution created the Supreme Court and reads in part: “The judicial power shall extend to all cases, in law and equity, arising under this Constitution, the laws of the United States…” Yesterday, Obama said: “Ultimately, I am confident that the Supreme Court will not take what would be [...]

And not one dime of the cuts is certain! Shawn Hannity is interviewing Speaker Boehner now. This plan is worse than I thought. FAR worse. Basically, Obama gets $1 Trillion immediately in exchange for a promised $24 Billion in cuts the first year. That’s it. $24 Billion. And a gang 12 – 6 Democrats and [...]

Kenneth C. Boyd, Republican supervisor and brave voice against ICLEI and Agenda 21, will run for reelection for a third term. He should be reeelected and if he can get one more anti-ICLEI voice on the board, he can pull Albemarle County out of ICLEI: Boyd has asked at two recent board meetings that Albemarle [...]

Tonight, according to Karyn McDermott, the Richmond Republican Examiner, the first sign of Ron Paul 2012 occurred at Pump Road and Broad Street in west Richmond. The Examiner spoke with organizer Igor Prohorov who expects a decent turnout. “Sign waving gets the message out to a lot of people in a short period of time, [...]

Jack Gravely’s Show on Richmond’s WLEE (910 AM) is entertaining, to say the least. To be sure, he checks his conservative views at the door on most issues. Not that Jack is a flaming Liberal, but his views seem to fall left of center. Republican US Senate Candidate and former Tea Party Leading Lady Jamie [...]

First I want to thank the millions of voters, activists, candidates, bloggers, contributors and others who made it possible for my favorite Democrat, Rep. Heath Shuler, to run for Minority Leader and not Speaker! I had suggested a few days ago that it was reported that Shuler would run for Speaker but now he’ll have [...]

Troubling news indeed for Democrats. In a poll out today, Rasmussen Reports says the Republicans hold a 49 to 40 lead over Democrats in the Generic Congressional Poll. Forty-nine percent (49%) of respondents say they would vote for their district’s Republican congressional candidate, while 40% would opt for his or her Democratic opponent. Even more [...]

Third place in the Florida Senate race still belongs to Democrat Kendrick Meek, but he has gained 5 points on former Republican turned Independent Charlie Crist, who dropped 5 points. So, second place in the Florida Senate race is now very much up in the air. First place, however, is not. Republican Marco Rubio has [...]

During Senator McConnell’s speech today, Al Frankin was acting like a two year old, mocking McConnell. The fact that the Washington Post got something wrong concerning Eric Cantor (R-Va) is not news. It is not shocking at all, in fact. What is both shocking and newsworthy is that they admitted they got something wrong about a Republican.
In a February 26th editorial, WaPo claimed Congressman Cantor’s “tactic” of carrying the entire, massive Health Care bill – all 2400 pages – into the Health Care Summit constituted “posturing” by the House Minority Leader. President Obama called them a “prop” during the meeting.
