State Rep. Carol Kent is a freshman state Rep, from District 102 up in north Texas. And she’s got a problem. There was a big cookie jar, and her hand was just caught in it. This is according to word that’s making the rounds, and your friendly neighborhood blogger has picked up on. Dave Palmer, an ethics watchdog, reported that the Texas paid Kent’s lodging expenses while Kent also sought $4,150, in expense reimbursements from her campaign account… Palmer believes Kent committed fraud when the State defrayed costs for which the campaign already paid, according to Palmer’s report, which alleges Kent violated federal law, Title 26 of the Internal Revenue Code, §162.
