The Gipper stars in this new video, released by the Republican Study Committee.  It’s as powerful as it is chilling, to hear Ronald Reagan’s predictions about government, and then see today’s Democrats fulfill those prophecies. Virginia Right! had the opportunity to speak with Republican US Senator John Thune of South Dakota this afternoon on a conference call concerning the Health Care bill that just passed and the Senate Reconciliation votes taking place this evening.

On the bill itself, Senator Thune said:

“First off, this is a disaster. It’s passage is tragic for the future of America. Not only because it’s bad Health Care policy, but because of all of the debt we are going to pile on, the games that were played to understate the true cost of this and the tricks and gimmicks that were used betrays the future generations because it’s going to cost us trillions and trillions of dollars more than anybody anticipated.”

Obama and the progressive Socialists want the States to allow their citizens to decline to purchase Health Care.

Confused? Here is why that is a true statement.

Obama does not want these millions of uninsured people to buy insurance from private insurers. He is happy to see 35 states battle the Federal Government with legislation that he will never challenge.

The only reason the mandatory purchase section exists was to bribe the Insurance Companies. Give them several million additional healthy insured in their risk pool and they will do well. Pre-existing – no problem. Paying more to make up for the pittance doctors are paid by Medicare and Medicaid? Cool!
