Obama on Jobs Numbers: ‘Don’t Read Too Much Into Them’ – FOR THE 30th TIME!!!

Exactly how many times can the Obama Administration / Campaign tell us not to read too much into the jobs numbers? Well, 30 times so far. The Mitt Romney campaign has done a wonderful job documenting how many times this has occurred. But I wouldn’t call it a broken record. More like a broken teleprompter. From Obama [...]

In the Aug. 5-8 [...]

I can’t wait to read the book!

According to National Journal Christina Romer has decided to call it quits. “She has been frustrated,” a source with insight into the WH economics team said. “She doesn’t feel that she has a direct line to the president. She would be giving different advice than Larry Summers [director of the National Economic Council], who does have a direct line to the president.” “She is ostensibly the chief economic adviser, but she doesn’t seem to be playing that role,” the source said. The WH has been pounded for its faulty forecast that unemployment would not top 8% after its economic stimulus proposal passed. http://hotlineoncall.nationaljournal.com/archives/2010/08/romer_to_leave.php Prior to joining the Obama regime Romer and her husband David published a paper espousing that if stimulus is necessary during a recession, it is much better to do it with monetary policy rather than fiscal because fiscal stimulus is slow to get through the pipeline and it tends to be ineffective. The 847 billion dollar failed stimulus has provided Romer with a steaming pile of evidence to support her premise. I …

IM-POTUS – Now it’s Every State for Themselves

It really is too bad they don’t make a little blue pill for leadership. Barack Obama surely needs one. Will DOW Drop Below 10K Today?

All signs are pointing to a big drop in the Stock Market today. Experts had expected a drop in the weekly unemployment filing figures by around 4,000. Instead, a large rise of 25,000 new claims sent futures down sharply as hopes for a recovery in progress dimmed.

Combined with a weakening Euro, which is sending fears of a double dip recession overseas, this could be a bad day on Wall Street.

ObamaCare Bill Now Irrelevant – Uninsured Now Unemployed and on Medicaid

It looks like the Democrats went all in on Health Care Reform for nothing. White House aids say they see an extended period of unemployment. They don’t expect further job losses, however, and believe an average of 100,000 jobs per month will be created this year.

Problem is, these are all Federal Government jobs. Census jobs to be exact. The Wall Street Journal said:

The job market will receive a fleeting jolt next year [2010] when the U.S. Census Bureau hires more than one million workers for its 2010 count.
