Remember when the Obama Administration promised unemployment would not go above 8% if we allowed Obama to spend a trillion of our tax dollars. We allowed and he spent. Green jobs, he promised, would be a boon to the economy and life would be grand. In fact, he said unemployment would be 5.6% by July, [...]

Exactly how many times can the Obama Administration / Campaign tell us not to read too much into the jobs numbers? Well, 30 times so far. The Mitt Romney campaign has done a wonderful job documenting how many times this has occurred. But I wouldn’t call it a broken record. More like a broken teleprompter. From Obama [...]

The Super Committee has failed. The Democrats one and only goal here is to make Republicans go for a tax increase. Again. And they plan to use this “compromise” to win in 2012. Again. So what do you do when the answer to the question “Are you better off now than you were four years [...]

Henrico, VA– George Allen released the following statement regarding President Obama’s push for $1.5 trillion in higher taxes. “The American people should not be punished with a $1.5 trillion tax increase to pay for this Administration’s record-setting deficits and second round of stimulus spending. We can now say that exhaustive studies and calculations have concluded and that without the Bush Tax Cuts, America would be in a depression. Unemployment would be far greater – perhaps as high as 20% – without the business stimulating Bush Tax Cuts on the employment creating sector of our economy, known in Obama circles [...]

The choices in Virginia’s 7th District come down to three: Yea, Nay or Abstain. The question we must answer is ‘Do we want to roll back the left wing waste and return to fiscal conservatism, or continue with more debt, high unemployment and a continued transformation into a Socialist Nanny state‘. If your answer to [...]

Gallup writes today, “Americans of all political persuasions say the economy and jobs are the most important problems facing the country today. In the Aug. 5-8 [...]

According to National Journal Christina Romer has decided to call it quits. “She has been frustrated,” a source with insight into the WH economics team said. “She doesn’t feel that she has a direct line to the president. She would be giving different advice than Larry Summers [director of the National Economic Council], who does have a direct line to the president.” “She is ostensibly the chief economic adviser, but she doesn’t seem to be playing that role,” the source said. The WH has been pounded for its faulty forecast that unemployment would not top 8% after its economic stimulus proposal passed. http://hotlineoncall.nationaljournal.com/archives/2010/08/romer_to_leave.php Prior to joining the Obama regime Romer and her husband David published a paper espousing that if stimulus is necessary during a recession, it is much better to do it with monetary policy rather than fiscal because fiscal stimulus is slow to get through the pipeline and it tends to be ineffective. The 847 billion dollar failed stimulus has provided Romer with a steaming pile of evidence to support her premise. I …

It really is too bad they don’t make a little blue pill for leadership. Barack Obama surely needs one. Like we were saying before the election that put this dunderhead in office, he has no executive experience. Now, the world understands exactly what that means. This president has absolutely no idea how to handle a crisis. Any crisis.

The Tea Party smoked in Nevada and the Progressives smoldered in Arkansas. Blanche Lincoln (D-AK) defeated the Progressive’s choice who was backed by $10 Million in Union money. Lt. Gov. All signs are pointing to a big drop in the Stock Market today. Experts had expected a drop in the weekly unemployment filing figures by around 4,000. Instead, a large rise of 25,000 new claims sent futures down sharply as hopes for a recovery in progress dimmed.
Combined with a weakening Euro, which is sending fears of a double dip recession overseas, this could be a bad day on Wall Street.

Move over Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous, the idle rich are out of style. Enter the idle poor.
These are not your parent’s poor, mind you. With heavy government subsidies already available in the form of welfare and unemployment, the Freeloading Democrats removed the last vestiges separating the working class from the mooching class.
Moochers now get Fringe Benefits!

It looks like the Democrats went all in on Health Care Reform for nothing. White House aids say they see an extended period of unemployment. They don’t expect further job losses, however, and believe an average of 100,000 jobs per month will be created this year.
Problem is, these are all Federal Government jobs. Census jobs to be exact. The Wall Street Journal said:
The job market will receive a fleeting jolt next year [2010] when the U.S. Census Bureau hires more than one million workers for its 2010 count.
