There two are unconfirmed but I have heard that Georgetown, Texas and Carver, Massachusetts have left ICLEI. Texas Watchdog is all over the story, and it’s a big one. Voter registration group Houston Votes has inundated the county voter registrar’s office with faulty registrations, including multiple applications for the same voters and for noncitizens, registrar Leo Vasquez said. He likens it to ACORN. Two Texas activist groups, Houston Votes and Texans Together Education Fund , were accused Tuesday of an organized voter fraud campaign by Harris County Voter Registrar Leo Vasquez , who likened the groups to the now-discredited ACORN . State Rep. Carol Kent is a freshman state Rep, from District 102 up in north Texas. And she’s got a problem. There was a big cookie jar, and her hand was just caught in it. This is according to word that’s making the rounds, and your friendly neighborhood blogger has picked up on. Dave Palmer, an ethics watchdog, reported that the Texas paid Kent’s lodging expenses while Kent also sought $4,150, in expense reimbursements from her campaign account… Palmer believes Kent committed fraud when the State defrayed costs for which the campaign already paid, according to Palmer’s report, which alleges Kent violated federal law, Title 26 of the Internal Revenue Code, §162. Upon further review the money is also creating jobs in zip codes that do not exist as well.
