244 immigrants arrested in four-day sweep across Southern California

More than 240 people were taken into federal custody last week across Southern California after a four-day sweep for immigrants in the country illegally with criminal records, authorities announced Monday.

The enforcement action ended on Thursday with 244 foreign nationals in the custody of Immigration and Customs Enforcement – the majority of them with at least one felony conviction on their record, authorities said.

It was the most successful four-day sweep of its kind in the region, ICE said.

Among the people captured, 191 were from Mexico and the rest were from 21 other countries including France, Ghana, Peru and Thailand, the agency said. A majority of them had convictions for violent felonies or weapons or sex abuse charges.

Just last night one of the news programs cited one individual who has been caught and deported 20 times. Each time he just comes right on back, only to be caught and deported again. The story highlights how inefficient / ineffective our current system is. What good does it do to catch them when they just come back and cost taxpayers additional money. Imagine the money currently spent on ICE, and all of the other feel good Homeland Security groups that sprouted after 9/11.

We have the resources and technology to stop this, we simply lack the political will to stop it. Resistance to change is always subordinated to the forces that benefit by whatever the status quo is. Too many benefit by this immigration mess, on both political sides, and Tom is right, nothing will get done until the costs overwhelm us.

Virginia is spending 1 billion a year on Illegal immigration related problems, possibly more, but an admitted 1 billion. And Del Peace touts changing the State song last session as even worthy of mention.

Elmont Elementary School had a classroom with two non English speaking Students which required a teacher earning $70,000 annually- to teach 2 students.

Hanover County schools now teaches 27 languages.

Is it any wonder America’s public schools are circling the drain and costing billions to deliver subpar performance?

Donald’s plan to send back Illegals will MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN ….. AND RICH as he likes to say.
