First the good news:

Real Clear Politics cites the WSJ in re conservative support for GOP Senate nominee Sharron Angle:

Well, a new poll out by Rasmussen shows Ms. Angle jumping to an 11-point lead over the incumbent, thanks to solidifying party support. Eighty-eight percent of Republicans support her compared to a mere 68% of Democrats who back Mr. Reid. Independents also favor her by 10 points.

There also appears to be financial support for Angle.  Her website reports she has raised nearly $500,000 in a few days.  She also has her issues on the website again.

Now the bad news:  Senator Reid’s newest ad has misrepresented Angle’s position on Social Security.  Here’s her position:

Social Security and its attendant Medicare are broken and bankrupt systems because we, as voting citizens, have allowed congress to transform these systems from insurance programs to and entitlement programs. The government must continue to keep its contract with seniors, who entered into the system on good faith and now are depending on that contract. (Pat Boone, a champion for seniors and the spokesman for 60’s Plus, has endorsed Sharron Angle’s candidacy.)

Free market alternatives, which offer retirement choices to employees and employers, must be developed and offered to those still in their wage earning years, as the Social Security system is transitioned out. Young workers must be encouraged to investigate personal retirement account options.

Here’s the report on the TV ad that Senator Reid is putting out:

“Shockingly, Sharron Angle wants to wipe out Social Security,” a narrator says ominously in the commercial. “She’d cut benefits for everyone.”

You decide.  Who’s right; the Senator who forced health care “reform” on people who didn’t want it or the former state representative who was not afraid to vote a solitary no and sue her own state to enforce its constitution?  I urge all the tea party members and Ron Paul libertarians to rally behind the RIGHT ANGLE – Nevada’s NEXT US Senator – Sharron Angle.

Nothing is more conservative than a republican wanting to get their majority back. And nothing is more liberal than a republican WITH a majority.
